this game will be epic BUT they just cut half the amount of buyers by making it paid. yeah i really hate paid mmo they suck the company will go all over the money and ignore major issues in game and them will work to get more and more money from buyers by releasing a bunch of expansion packs. BioWare go work on mass effect you guys are better at it.

@MrDaory That is actually incorrect, the September beta weekends are separate from the early access. You need to be signed up to be a tester for the September weekends (basically stress tests). By pre-ordering, you will be able to play the game for likely the last week or so leading up to launch day for free. Pre-ordering does not affect your chances of getting beta access whatsoever.

All these developers are trying to compete with WoW and its not happening. Rift is keeping up with WoW. I doubt any upcoming MMO is going to take away 11.4 millon people in an instant. Who knows this new mmo might very well be what tips them off the edge, rift already rattled the cage why cant this?

Wow, what i keep seeing from this game continues to be a disappointment. Frankly, the graphics look like shit, the attack animations look like shit, and they want to release by DEC 2011? Damn that sucks. KOTOR II is really buggy to begin with but it was still a good game. Steam has the first one for sale but not the second one yet. However they seem to be adding more games all the time from Lucasarts and other publishers. Some of the publishers in their catalogue are no longer around so it's possible KOTOR II will be on sale sometime. Why not let them know you are a customer interested in a downloadable copy in their Lucasarts catalogue.

Its common knowledge that the two "up-and-coming" mmo's are Guild Wars 2, and SWTOR. From what ive seen of both games TOR is super overhyped, but on the other hand GW2 has gorgeous graphics, great spell effects, and intensive super-imersive gameplay with many innovative changes that shatter the mmo holy trinity as we know it.

MMo's have ongoing costs in order to keep them running. Mass effect for example costed $120 NZ when it came out, and had no ongoing costs because it has bi-monthly(ish) DLC and no multiplayer. An MMO that is as big-budget as ToR however will need money to pay for bandwidth, servers, upgrading said servers, staff to manage the community, weekly content, etc. You pay more, you get more.
