to run them in master slave mode all you need is a single dmx 3 pin lead, run it from your master lights ouptut to the slaves input. set both fixtures to address one then turn audio on, only on the master light.
It depends on how many channels your fixture takes up. If you have two 8 channel scanners, you would set the first one on channel 1 and the second one on channel 9.
If you want the two scanners doing the same thing (not mirrored), then yes, you would set both of your scanners to the same channel.
the cheaper dmx controllers are misleading as the scanners button is actually to control the sliders address bank eg. scanner 1 will make the sliders 1-16 control dmx channels 1-16 and scanner 2 will make the sliders 1-16 control dmx channel 17-33 and so on if you get what i mean
just realised its not a 16 channel its 8 but its the same principal although it might make it easier controlling multiple fixtures at once although being 16 channels apart does not make sense unless its a limitation of this dmx controller my lights are 5 channel dmx and mine are fixture 1 dmx1 fixture 2 dmx6 ect
I might be wrong but I don't think the scanners have to be 16 channels apart. I think you can have them both starting at channel 1 this just means that they would both work at the same time on the same channel. Alternitively if your scanners require say only, 8 channels then the second scanner should be able to start at 9 if you wanted them seperate. I may be wrong though :S
Fair video, its helped me understand scanners more.
I would like to see color strip programming if you ever get those.
also try a better camera and move around a little slower.
BTW I think you can program the scanner movement with the joystick instead of using the faders. I'm new to this DMX programming stuff but I've heard you can use that joystick for this type of programming. I'm just not sure how you set the board/lights to do that.
That's really cool, but what if you wanted to do more than 8 scenes? Like if you wanted to have the spotlights do diffrent stuff right through the whole music track, in tune squenced with the music?
woow! are possible mixing the colors? for example, half green and half blue? it's good the smart scan ssc2? you recommend for mobile dj? sorry but no speech spanish, i'm argentine. thanks!
where did you get you lights

actually you don't have to have them at dmx address 1 and 17. it depends on where you want the first cahnnel on that fixture on the controller
