on this piece there is virtually no colour added, only silver fume. the raking is light & easy to melt in evenly with the spin & bushy flame. there are no interfaces between 2 thicknesses or coloured glass [which contains metals & so expands/contracts at a different rate]

min wage here in So Cal for this type of work unfortunetly, many sweatshops doing wrap and wrake etc

@DreesMusic In kansas it's actually very high pay. Mostly because Water pipe, and pipe blowers here work freelance and sell there work to head shops, usually making around 15$ for a small pipe to 60-100$ for a bong depending on size and quality. If a water pipe blower blows 5 pipes a day, he can make anywhere from 300-600$/day. Besides, pipe blowers aren't paid min. wage anywhere, I can guarantee it. No matter what you think, it's an art, and artists aren't usually paid by corporations.

I've been blowing for 16 years and have only ever had a handful of days that went over $300, and that never includes the operating costs which are substantial. In the time I've been blowing I've watched the cost of materials double at minimum, and in some cases more than triple.

To put it simple, when you take a hit, you hold the carb to pull in smoke, then when you have enough you release the carb to clear what's in it

Everybody is asking why there is a carb because most grommet bongs have a ~5 inch piece of glass tubing touching the grommet into the water, and then an additional bowl with a 2-3 inch stem attached, like you have, but with a rubber "O-Ring" right where the glass tapers into the bowl. The o-ring on the glass tube makes an airtight seal, and the bowl is lifted off. Your design seems to be just a one piece bowl-stem going into the water and you clear it with a carb.
