@bananna569 Personally, I prefer the Miss America system. Miss USA is heavily based on appearance, while Miss America is more well rounded (i.e. formal wear, swimsuit, interview, and talent.) Being Miss USA involves more modeling work, while being Miss America is more about being an ambassador and philanthropy. Just my personal opinion. :)

This is not a pageant, its a scholarship program. I am going to be competing in Miss Lane County and I can potentially get $67,000 just from the local pageant, not to mention the state and national level. This is putting me through medical school. Be respectful of these girls. And they all look the same because its called exercise and eating right. 75% of the American population is overweight and these girls are healthy. And unlike Miss USA, they have a philanthropy.
