Excellent Video man. Visted Nikko myself over the summer and visted the same shrines and temples as yourself, stayed at a really nice traditional cottage 'Fu Sha', the land lady was incredibly nice.
Lol at your pronunciation of some of these words. I stayed in Asakusa (and i think you might of as well since your hostel was only 10 mins from Sensoji) and i can tell you it is pronounced "uh-sock-suh". And the bullet train is pronounced "shin-con-sen". Its cool though. The Japanese language takes some getting used to.
Thanks for putting these videos up mate. What was the song featured in the first five minutes or so? It sounded really good. The Nkikko shrine looked spectacular, how did you feel when you got there?
Hey, no problem, thanks for watching. Nikko was so beautiful. The shrines were amazing and there was so much moss and greenery surrounding you the whole time. Definitely worth a day trip from Tokyo, or even an over night trip to see the national park just up the road.
The first song in my video is "Lively Motion" by Megumi Hayashibara.
Next was "Hiiru no Tsuki" the ending theme of Outlaw Star.
i would like to know if its not offensive how much did you spend on your trip because i am planning to go but i only know Japanese and some places i don't really know any thing about how you get the Japanese currency and when and how to book hotel rooms and what not
Well its hard to say how much because everyone is different. I was more focused on food while in Japan, so I would save money by staying in hostels and then splurge on sushi and other good of food. Also, if you get the JR pass for the rail system that will increase your budget, but its well worth it. I would say to live comfortable plan on spending $100-$150 per day, not including the JR pass. But you can leave as cheap as you like, japan is not as expensive as you might think.
About the Yen, I went to an American Express Travel Agency and exchanged about $500 dollars into Yen. Once I got to Japan I just used my credit card or took out yet from ATMs. Try to book your first few nights lodging before you arrive in Japan, then once you get there you can find other hotels or hostels that might be cheaper in other parts of the city. I stayed at K's House in Tokyo, and they speak English and can help you book other lodging when you decide to go traveling.
Not a bad video, but for the blatant disrespect you exhibited in leaving your camera on in the room of the crying dragon. It was made very clear that all recording devices should be shut down before entering this room, and it's obvious that you knew this based on the way you had your camera concealed. For shame. Arrogant, get-away-with-it-if-I-can types like you give tourism a bad name.
Ummm, pardon me, but before you go name calling... you should get your facts straight. Yes, indeed you are not allowed to take pictures or film the Roaring Dragon, but I got that video off the internet somewhere, as well as that picture. I only wanted to document what the painting looked like, but I didnt personally break the temple's rules... it was someone else. I think I even got the video off youtube for that matter. Next time ask before you go pointing your finger and name calling...
i swear on everything that shits raw bro have to go to japan!
