  • so this is how my childhood ends. with a glorious ending theme.....

  • OMG :( We never see the new Harry Potter :(

  • This reminds me of what Harry Potter should have stayed as. The innocent adventures of a young boy in a world of magic. It was one of the greatest children's stories in a long time.

When it got all dark and brooding, it lost itself. And that's sad.

  • @Igotopinions HP was never dark. It was and it is the story about love, friendship and, well, death, because death is part of life. It shows us that death is not something we should scared of, but accept like the part of everyday living. I used to scared of death, but after I read the final book the fear just vanished. HP means the world to me, it is part of my life. And I it is not dark at all.

  • @JackieGlamBaby08 I found the later books much darker than the originals, especially after I took each book apart to find out why I lost interest with the series after a while. This is also played up in the movies with the effects used. I do agree that death is a part of life, but the way that death was handled in the books was rather simple and unexciting. People just died, there was no meaning behind it. And the significant "death" of the last book? Iffy. Very iffy.

  • lovet the harry potter music!

  • were is volemort's version???

  • best hp movie

  • @TheNeoMalthusian The original title is "Leaving Hogwarts". I think Desplat retitled it "A New Beginning" for "Part 2"...

  • This piece right here captures all the wonder, darkness and bravery that is at the core of Harry Potter. It goes from happy to quiet and mysterious, only to bring out that well known triumphant tune as it reaches a swell, and it catches me at that moment, to the point where cry. This movie makes me feel so many things that other movies can't; because it's a nostalgic piece, something that all people no matter what age can look back on with happiness from when they first saw it as children.

  • I'm going to the park for Christmas.! (:

  • -3 John Williams •

  • 6:29 the best moment of all Harry Potter song

  • This song and Hedwig theme are the best! It makes me cry when I hear them! Harry Potter will live forever in my heart and in other Potter heads out there! Harry potter is epic! :))

  • Why didn't John Williams compose the music for all the other harry potter films?

  • @TheChristmasFan He expressed interest when they asking him for the 4th one but he had already signed on to do like 5 other films so, scheduling conflicts...

  • There is no Harry Potter without John Williams!

  • why oh why couldnt either chris columbus or alfonso cuaron direct all of the harry potter movies?! up to 3 i felt a strong connection with the films, once 4 came out, it just didnt feel the same, i wish we could go back and relive the moments when number 1 came out.....

  • @JohnnyDeppsBabyCakes It's funny because Cuaron's is one of the highest critically acclaimed out of the series but the lowest grossing (by far).

But I have to disagree. The 4th book (not just the movie) is a major turning in the plot, so it's going to feel somewhat discontinuous...

  • @girolle01 it wasnt anything to do with the plot for me. it was the fact the 4th book was my favorite and most of it wasnt included in the film. i know they couldnt include it all because of the films running time, but the way it was put together and the way all the parts of the film seemed to be added in clumps, it looked rushed.

  • @JohnnyDeppsBabyCakes Yeah, that makes sense. I hate the 4th book and the movie even more. "Half-Blood" does it for me. By far my favorite book and movie (maybe with the exception of "Part 2").

You saying you feel that way makes my brain hurt for Kloves. Lol Book 4 was by far the longest up to that point, and even with the film being 150 something, I can't understand how he managed to pick what scenes to include, or more realistically, what scenes to cut. What a very difficult job he had.

  • @girolle01 thats true, picking the scenes to be both truthful to the fans and the book must have been tough. not wanting to let anyone down too. i just think if anyone who has both read the books and watched the movies got the best of both worlds in the end. all the detail of the story and the chance to see it come to life. you really cant complain, we all have been lucky to be part of the harry potter generation.

  • @JohnnyDeppsBabyCakes I always say to the people who want to nit-pick at every single thing the movies don't include or slightly change that the films aren't meant to be a replacement for the books; just to highlight the main points of the plot.

Lucky indeed. I sort of fell out of "Potter" after the 3rd movie (just getting older and other life events) but I'm SO glad I got back into it after HBP. Now I'm like a "Potter" addict. Lol And talk about nostalgia; I still have the VHS of movie 1!

  • @JohnnyDeppsBabyCakes

yup it is just sad ... only the first movie is the best interpretation of the book ... still the rest are great ...

  • @JohnnyDeppsBabyCakes Same here. But actually in my opinion, the fourth movie was just as good as the other 3. It was really the 5th and onward that sort of lost it's magic. idk, but Yates kind of destroyed the rest of the films for me. Though, I'll admit, the final one was actually much better than the previous ones he did. It was entertaining, action-packed, and he managed to somewhat bring the magic back that we loved in the first film :)

  • @EmilyMikuChan i agree, yates was awful for the movies. the last one was an improvement just the fight at the end between voldemort and harry was disappointing to me, there could have been improvements all around but it was pointless going into the movie theater with expectations of it being 100% book accurate, i learned not to expect too much off them but just enough for it to be good enough to watch. but im so so glad in the epilogue scene they bought back the original soundtrack:)

  • is it dumb that i always want to cry when i hear this? i love harry potter! :)

  • to me daniel is harry, rupert is ron and emma is herminie (you know who i mean)

we must not let harry potter die yes its over but only if you forget about it

  • John Williams rocks!

  • テンションあがる!

  • They Played on the end of Deathly Hallows Part 2.

  • @TheLemelere yeap that's right. the first song of the end credits for DH part2

  • O crap,10 Years of my life man,and,its over,:(,Thank You,Harry.

  • i think they played this at the end of deathly hallows part 2. it was so sad yet beautiful when they have their own kids

  • @Her0ofCha0s94 Ye,they did,it was cool right.

  • Harry has been my everything since I was 5. I will never forget Harry for all he has done for me. Harry potter is and will always be one of the best creations ever

  • Whats name song start moment 4:59?

  • I just saw the last movie today. It was truly amazing and I loved that they played the music from John WIlliams during the end credits. Perfect ending.

  • @orpheala Yeah but SO melancholy.

  • Dan's Head is bigger than hogwarts!

  • i'm not going home, not really :)

  • love all the harry potter films, but my favourite will always be the first one. it's just so much more authentic and not over done by special effects. also because ALL the music is done by John Williams, and he's AMAZING

  • what will i do when it ends what will i dream about?!

  • Where did 10 years of my life go? lol

  • 4:03 gives me goosebumps!! I LOVE HARRY POTTER! and i already miss it :-(

  • @TheHoerbuch Hedwig's Theme MAKES the Harry Potter soundtrack!!

  • i wish john williams did the music of every HP movie. I love his songs. Jurassic Park, Star Wars, etc...

  • they better play this at the end of the last movie!

  • Amazing. John Williams is one of the finest composers of the modern age. To think that he composed the music for Star Wars Episode 4 over 30 years ago, and he's still going strong!

  • I'm learning this song on the piano. At the skill level im at which is a level 4, it is still really hard. hope to have it perfect by the end of this year. i'll post it when i am done.

  • Without John Williams no Harry Potter!

  • chamber of secrets and philosopher stone are my favourite out of all of them

  • I'm a teenager who has depression, but this song is usually the cure...i can't help smiling at this :)

  • its funny cuz you can clearly see tha he has blue eyes while Harry should have them green xD

  • The first and second movies will always be my favorites, mostly because they're the first ones I ever watched of course, I've stuck with Harry and his friends for so long, it's nice to look back at the ones that stuck with you ^^

  • Best end credits in the series

  • This music is part of my childhood and i always feel nostalgic when i hear it! :')

    Thank you John Williams!

    This music made Harry Potter.

  • Sorcerers Stone? XD

  • TA PIOSENKA POWINNA DOSTAĆ NAGRODĘ NOBLA:P

  • Hy! Please, somebody tell me: what is the song called during Ollivander gives the right wond to Harry? The third, the right one! Please, I really do need it! Please, reply!! THX! Happy New Year!!

  • The music is classic and really i love it :)

  • John William's music is what makes the first two films more memorable...the new music gets on my nerves at points

  • iv watched HP 7 part 1 n it was topp i cnt wait for part 2 accio july 15

  • Without John Williams no Harry Potter!

  • I like all the movies, but the first ones is just amazing. Love love love it ♥

  • NOVEMBER 19TH 2010... YOU'RE SO CLOSE. SO CLOSE !!!!!!!

  • @EnclosedSilence Accio November 19th

  • Such a pity John Williams couldn't come back for D.H. :(

  • could you e-mail this to me?

  • Clairethebear25, it is called the philosopher's stone, the publishing company just asked JK Rowling to change the name, and if you notice in any of her interviews, she always refers to the first book as the philosopher's stone. Get your facts straight.

  • i love harry potter everything!!!!!!!!!!! harry potter books harry potter wands i love everything about harry potter things

  • GIVES ME CHILLS

  • This song is soo good

  • Loove this track. The 1st was always my favorite movie. I watched it 3 times in the thetres and countless times on DVD. Reminds me of my childhood when I hear this *wipes tear*

  • wow the violins from 4:18...we played it at school and my fingers were about to bleed afterwards^^

  • You know you love Harry Potter too much when you cry over how much you miss the old movies. This score is gorgeous. It brings me back to the days when everything was happy with touches of dark. Don't get me wrong, DH and HBP are great. But nothing will ever be as good as the first film. I miss when the innocence. And the score was incomparably better then. P.S. Can we all take a minute to reread/rewatch the series? God, that's weird to say. I remember when OotP (book) wasn't even titled..

  • @rachel869 There's no such thing as loving Harry Potter too much. (:

  • its not even colled philosophers stone its the scosers stone smart one btw were did u get the song from?

  • @clairethebear25 Its also philosopher's stone, the film's title is HP and the sorcerer's stone in the US and India, smart one

  • Coooooool ^^

  • I like Harry Potter and I like this music!!

  • I do wish that they'd use this music in every harry potter film end credits. they only did it in the 1st and 2nd one.

  • just the best :' )

  • love this song so much... can you upload order of the phoenix end credits please.. love ur video..

  • Won 5 Oscars i agre with that

  • WHOA....john williams is 78.....hope he doesnt die :'(

  • Amazing !

  • ça ressemble quand même à fond à Jurassic Park à certains moments.

  • The genius John Williams must return for the Deathly Hallows Part II

  • I Adore this song! To me, it's the one that better describes the early years of Harry Potter.

It transmits that sense of wonder for magic that we saw in the first books before everything become dark.

  • Why is this a semi-tone higher than the original recording? Seems like an obvious mistake to correct before uploading.

  • @thegoodgeneral some songs just sound like this, even my copy of it sounds like this. Why would you even notice anyway? It's an incredible song

  • Some songs just sound like this? What do you mean?

I would notice because it was composed with a key in mind for the timbre of all of the instruments; furthermore the musicians worked to get the perfect tone as an ensemble; taking that recording and editing it in such a way ruins its acoustic properties and the hard work everyone performing put in.

    It's also not a song.

  • Ara les pelis de Harry Potter s'han convertit per a adolescents, abans era per tothom i alegres, amb bona banda sonora, guió bo... I ara fan pena -.-

  • Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Home Alone, Hook, Indiana Jones, Jaws, E.T., and the list goes on and on and on.... John Williams is a legend. He will always be number 1 soundtrack composer, and the Hans Zimmer comes in 2nd.

  • @oakland5353 hat about danny elfman?

  • @oakland5353 Haha the composers for Harry Potter and Pirates of the Carribean, my 2 favorite movies :)

  • @oakland5353 I wish John Williams did the last 2 OST... I don't like the music that was made by Alexander Desplat. The music of Nicholas Hopper is good also...

  • @Serenity1 True that, but what was funny, was that in the last one, they used bits from John Williams because he is the master. They have the copyright on his music, so they can still play his music in the new ones to give us that old school, young Harry Potter feel.

  • Music can not talk, but when you hear this music you can only say: MAGIC!

This music from John Williams is so good, it is wonderfull. The best end credits from the Potter movies (tied with the chamber of secrets).

  • Its strange that they didn´t use this song in the other films.

  • Daniel Radcliff used to be so cute! Now he's just sorta weird. I miss the old movies. They meant more than the newer ones.

  • @TendancyToFloatAway its not Dan's fault i guess the Harry Potter aura went missing from the newer movies. it felt, um how should i put it... more american and less british. sorry but thats what i feel. no offence.

  • @TendancyToFloatAway He is still awesome! and im seeing the 7th at midnight when it comes out, so the moveis, to me are still awesome!

  • @TendancyToFloatAway

Me too i love all the old movies were so good

  • @TendancyToFloatAway I cant even stand to watch the new ones! i only like the 1 and 2 and kindof the 3, but thats it!

  • @TendancyToFloatAway Sort of weird? What the fuck, you fool! He's a handsome, beautiful, intelligent guy.

  • @TendancyToFloatAway Yay i feel the same way. Besides the old movies with this beautiful song make me feel nostalgic!!! :')

  • @TendancyToFloatAway I believe ya :)

  • bats70 dont forget "Jaws" and "saving privat ryan".

John Williams is one of the best

  • The one who made the music for "back to the future" is Alan Silverstri. (the guy who made the Forrest Gump theme) still John Williams is the best there is.

  • O my god, the nostalgia is overwhelming! It's been like 7 years since I saw the first Harry Potter movie! I adored Harry Potter as a kid, still do. There's some unique, magical spirit about Harry Potter, don't you think?

  • I love all of John Williams' scores, there AMAZING star wars, harry potter, superman, jurassic park, love them all!!!

  • John williams forever!!!!!!..

And you forgot one of his best... ''Back to the future''!!!!!!

  • Love John Williams score!

  • Ah, fair enough. I will await your post then =D. (I just noticed my spelling mistake on the previous comment - do excuse that!) Anyway, I will be sure to post any request I may have to you! Thankyou

  • I'd like to know where you got this from, if you could, please. And could you also upload the Credits from Harry Potter and the Hald-Blood Prince, as I do enjoy that piece of music!
