How to Remove Virus Remover 2008 Rogue/Fake Scanner/Alert Program

What do you do with a virus that prevents you from starting any anti-malware utility?

I have something now that will not even let me open Malwarebytes in Safemode.

Is there a way to get Malwarebytes running before Windows starts or from a command prompt?

I un-installed\reinstalled Malwarebytes several times via a jump drive. I know it’s installed correctly.

The infection has something to do wudmgr.exe .

you must end the process for it first, then go and delete the files, otherwise it will jump around and destroy your computer!

@shooterman13 This program does that, it deletes all files it can then if there is a process running it will ask to reboot to remove those files ;)

1. Boot your computer in safe mode With Networking by tapping F8 repeatedly when its starting up

2.Download and install Malwarebytes search for it on google and update it

3. Run the full scan and then remove all selected items then its gonna ask for permission to restart your computer then restart it

I had one of those alert programs, I deleted it with Malwarebytes'....But after that internet wasnt working, so if it happens to anyone just go to, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, and then press the Reset button.

Just got hit by this through a Google ad. I wasn't stupid enough to let it finish the "scan for viruses" because I automatically knew that it was rogue from the "internet explorer has detected a virus" when Internet Explorer can't detect viruses. But I'm scanning my computer now.

If you ever get a pop up saying "your files are infected" and its not on your security then NEVER download it lol, what you got I think is a Browser Hijacker whihc will have stored itself somewhere in the "shared documents" what it is when it "scans" your computer is fake, they will say they have found all this shit to make you think "Oh crap" and download it when Infact it is more viruses - word to you all

I scanned my computer with Malwarebytes and deleted 2 trojans, but now ive just done a AVG scan and the same virus is still there but in a different folder (in a game folder but the funny thing is the folder that its in is a virus deleter ,a game virus protector , the virus name is (Trojan horse Generic11.BGWF)

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware yes, i would run a antivirus program like AVG or AVIRA it will find the trojan if it didn't already catch it if it caught it, then it is in the vault of that program which means i won't run or be able to harm your computer

Yep, I was instructed by Microsoft to use this when my computer got infected. It found about 63 threats. After uninstalling and reinstalling Norton - a backdoor.tidserv and Trojan.nebular were removed by Norton. I got the virus from an internet radio site. BAH!

You need to change the name of the .exe file so you want to go to your program files and go in the folder with it and change it from mbam.exe to mabam and then try to open it from your shortcut it should open then

Yes it does, It probably did install you need to go to your Program Files and change the exe mbam.exe to something different like mabam then you can open Malwarebytes up
