"linux from scratch" (google it)is the exact project where I'm getting most of my information. Also... Check out the BLFS book it has a whole section dedicated to xorg and wm.

i am a Linux user too however i dont really like using kde nor gnome rather than that i like window maker and the new "golem" window manager. so how about u?
Just today actually I managed to get xorg correctly compiled and configured on a native hardware dell machine for my project. I'm going to install "Blackbox" as a wm because its light and fairly easy to secure.
I'm just documenting Linux system build for a college project. I've over a 100 videos like this now that I'll upload at a later date. I really wanted to capture every detail in the process.

the only one thing advance i have done was to configure x11
and that took me like 2 and a half hour....

do you think its posible to install linux from scratch ?
what i mean is to format the HD and then the boot loader but without any distro
