  • This is what I call a real sports car. Manual stick shift with direct mechanical link to the transmission, not some electronic paddle shit. I want to feel the torque and vibrations of the car through the shifter. Some might call this a Mulletmachine, but these American cars (ZR1, VIPER etc.) have really made a superb comeback when it comes to actual handling on a track like Nurburgring, a track that is considered one of the toughest of all. This is impressive.

  • Anyone else notice he had his window down...and i can only assume whoever the driver is...he must really know the track well...I have to say that even though I love the ZR1...the ACR has a special littl spot in my heart...its just raw horsepower and does what it came to do...and then goes home...without breaking a sweat

  • VIPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video!

  • I was so surprised and happy for Lexus to achive their 7:14 time, but now I'm shocked with new ACR time. Both machines are incredible pieces of technology (Dodge being more powerful, Lexus being more sophisticated), no doubt. I'd take an LFA still though.

What bothers is how did they manage to cut another 10 seconds? I'm guessing SRT did something with suspension. Driver's driving skills could also matter.

  • @camryt Just watch first ACR lap. The difference is 100% driver skill. Originally they used an engineer for the lap, this time they used a hot shoe racing driver.

  • @camryt they put really sticky tires on it like the ZR1 did to cut its lap time...
