lmao these guys have no idea what they were talking about at the time...lmao the on guy said that miami had talented guys at wide out to begin with???? Somebody give me the depth chart for that year that they didnt show because once they traded chris chambers half way through the season all their talent was gone on offense except for brown but even he had a sub par season during their 1-15 run.
Douchebag, the Texans swapped first round picks, gave up a second and a third in order to get that "average" QB just months prior to the draft. Your opinion on how good of a QB Shaub is irrelevant in this conversation.
There was a 0% chance of the Texans taking another QB in round 1 after giving Shaub a 40 million dollar contract and giving up two first day draft picks. You don't understand the draft and team needs at all so shut your gay fucking mouth you fuckin cocksucker.
Since it obviously helps you sleep at night to think that you know what you're talking about I won't burst that bubble just yet, but your assertion that Shaub is anything but a sub mediocre backup qb is laughable. Whether the man starts or not he is not a starting caliber qb. And by the way moron Quinn was predicted to go top 10, for him to fall into the Texans lap like that I can guarantee you there were serious discussions about taking him. Since it makes you feel better I'll leave the rest.
You are laughable. You missed, once again, my whole point. As I said, you opinion on how good of a QB Shaub is irrelevant as is mine. I personally think they gave up way too much. Good to see you do a great job of not only assuming that I thought he was good, but that the Texans had a big debate and that you actually guarantee there were serious discussions on taking him. How did you come to that conclusion there numb nuts? You were in the war room? Prove it.
If there is one thing that convinced me Cam Cameron had to go... it's this pick. Ted Ginn Jr. reminds me of the Troy Williamson pick: just because a WR is fast, it doesn't make him a great pick. Now the Dolphins still need a QB, and Parcells won't want to take Matt Ryan 1st overall.
And I just realised I share Childress' fears regarding first round WRs.
Update from C-town. 6 months ago, I predicted Ginn would score at least 5 TD. He had 2 TD called back on Special teams, with one against the BROWNS. He also took a TD to the house against Philly and not to mentioned his first TD catch against the Giants. I also predicted you wouldn't hear from the Dolphins' fans when Ginn would go off. B. Quinn won't play this year. I wish I also could see all of the over dramatic Dolphins' fans react now since Ginn has scored at least a 2 TDs.
at 3.9 speed (which he did run his junior year (He also ran a 4.1 in high school) he would be faster then most jungle cats but not a cheetah.. He is the fastest man in sports though
they are playing it right, slowly integrate him into the offense while he continues to work reps with john beck. beck takes over week 10 and 2 stars are born. the dolphins look like a hot ticket in 08
I know DeAngelo Hall ran a 4.18 and thats the fastest in the NFL but does anybody know... was that at the combine or not? I don't know but i would like to.
That wasn't at the combine, but at a Practice at Atlanta, but I remember Hall running that, and as far as Fabian Washington, where was that speed when Calvin Johnson was beating him like Eggs this past Sunday?
Combine speed has nothing to do with "football speed" in pads. Ginn runs a 4.35 in shorts, but put him in pads and he will out run anyone endzone to endzone. I could give a damn who runs what at the combine.
To set the record straight Ted Ginn never ran at the NFL combine. The fastest time ever at the nfl combine was a 4.25 by fabian washington in 2005, so all the times under that are pretty much irrelevant. Ted Ginn before he was injured ran a 4.28 at a OSU workout. Last year he was playing with a broken toe and in the bsc game sprained his ankle. And after the combine he ran a 4.38 and a 4.45 at OSU with a sprained ankle.
2 say any man on this earth runs a fuckin 3.9 is rediculous... he runs a 10.50 100m dash... he would literally have to be the fastest man ever recorded to run a 3.9 which is almost impossible... i cant believe u guys are having this conversationfuckin idiots
I mean this with all due respect, but you're dumber than a baby bottle full of urine. No man in the NFL, aside from Ginn, runs a 3.9. Ginn is the fastest player in NFL history. To think otherwise is immature, reckless and foolish. To say the least.
I don't think so, because if he did then it would have been all over the T.V., but obviously DeAngelo Hall is listed as still being the fastest man in the NFL.
Moss, and Vick ran 4.21's coming out of College, and that hasn't really changed from those days, but Ginn can't be that fast, because those Dolphin fans would not have been that pissed when they drafted him.
Actually, you're the idiot. Ginn ran a 4.5 at combines, because he was recovering from a foot injury he suffered in the BCS championship game. He hasn't ran 3.9 since.
If you knew shit about football, you'd know THAT. Oh, and I from Ohio and I'm a Buckeye fan.
I feel sorry for your parents, Kaisertwig. Because they have to be ashamed they birthed such a dumb human. You should know that Ginn didn't run at the combines, because of his foot injury. He ran at OSU's Pro Day. And ran a 4.45 with a nearly broken foot. He runs a 3.8 -3.9 when healthy. Never, I repeat, never question my knowledge of OSU football. I own you, and your dumb family. Go Bucks, and take care of yourself. I mean no disrespect.
He might be fast, but a 3.8 he does not run, and cannot run, but what I did was watch 1 of his highlights, and I started my own count of Ginn as he ran 40 yds. and I got about 4.03 seconds, but that is just me, and I hate OSU, but I don't think he can run a 3.9, but he is close.
In the NFL 76% of the players are fast, so Ginn is not much faster than anyone, and he will get served in the League, because when you come in with a lot of hype, a lot of guys are gunning for you.
A lot of people are good though, but I am just saying that Ginn is fast, but in the NFL a lot of players are fast, and will look faster, so he is in for a rude awakening!
no Ted is faster than many of Pro LBs or any defensive backs..i men, all thats changing as he goes into the NF is that the defenders that he's gunna be facing are smarter than any defense in college...and plus they hit harder....i agree, 76% of NFL players are fast but hes faster than alot of them....there arent so many defensiv backs his speed
Anyone can look slow if you chase them at an angle, and I know that a lot of Receivers look fast, but all you have to do is angle yourself, and you will catch them--ask Michael Vick?
He will not dominate anyone this year and as far as speed, well once again, this is not Illinois, or MSU!
all im gunna say is he has some hard hits comin his way if he does any short passes or does any punt returns...but i doubt anyone can catch him...i got a point though
True! He has some hard hits coming anyway, because this is the NFL, but he is going to impact the team a little bit, but he won't show that he was worth a #9 pick.
I hope that dude does his thing though, because I don't want to sound like a hater.
I doubt they will even win 9 games, but they weren't going to the Offs' anyway, even with Brady (I put up my numbers against teams that shouldn't even have a Football Program) Quinn!
My choice for Rookie of the Year, has to be Adrian Peterson, based on his immediate impact value, not having a solid #2 behind him, and an O-Line that is massive!
No one in history has ever ran below a 4.2.. They timed Michael Johnson when he was running 100 meters and at the 40 he was 4.2.. As far as the combine, fastest ever 40 (electronically timed) was a 4.27. Ginn ran a 4.34 coming out of HS and ran a 4.38 at his pro day. Look on wikipedia if you want facts, otherwise dont speak unless you know what your talking about.
Actually Y. Figures ran a 4.25 at the combine this past year, so I'm sure you will look it up, and they even put that on a commercial, so wikpedia isn't so credible after all.
at 3.9 speed (which he did run his junior year (He also ran a 4.1 in high school) he would be faster then most jungle cats but not a cheetah.. He is the fastest man in sports though
SPEED KILLS as well as ACCURACY!!! That's what the PHINS got in their first two picks in GINN and BECK!!! QUINN is sooooo OVERRATED!!!! YOU'LL SEE!! I talked to Notre Dame fans at spring break and they all said Quinn is NOT a franchise QB!!!
why did tey pick joihn beck hes 27 and a rookie by the time he becomes a starter and start playing good hell be like 30 and ol\nly hhave like 5 yrs left dolphins suck and get ted ginn whos injuered they shouldve got 1. brady quinn 2. dwayne jarret 3.mccauley 4.jason hill similar to ted ginn and faster but no they get waste picks instead of booker who i like but there other picks really suck balls
hill faster than ginn...LOL are u serious...he might be faster now because ginns foot is still hurt...but no one can catch a healthy ted ginn...they said he could have qualified for the 2008 olympics if he wanted...World Class Speed!!
ted ginn is still rated higher than ur wr u ass and we got good picks and dwayane jarrett cant do shit 4 the miami ted ginn is gon b playin kr/pr/wr and gettin in or reverse plays but i admit we could have gotten that running back from
ohio state instead a booker he is ready to play on feild action booker needs to get bigger he is also a sixth of a second faster so i would have been more excited with him being our hb but booker will b on special teams starting with ginn i know this for a fact
people need to upload more clips like this. I prefer funnier stuff myself, check out dolphinhump. lostfrog . com , I laughed so hard I got kicked out of class! haha.
I also think like you Righteous Talk, miami needed to improve their defense, or draft Quinn otherwise, but I really don't think Ginn Jr., is a smart pick, Maybe Dolphins shoul've traded down and still they could had got it :)
Pretty sure John Beck is going to become amazing with time and become a franchise QB which actually has better Stats in College then Brady Quinn. Ted Ginn isn't only going to be a Punt Returner but also a awesome WR along side Pro Bowler Chris Chambers. Oh yeah don't forget their Defense to With three Pro Bowlers Jason Taylor ( Defense Player of the Year ) and Zach Thomas and Joey Porter can you say # 1 Defense in 07-08. The Bears were able to get some where with a lame QB and a great Defense.
I think the same as blizzsp they should had chosen okoye to reinforce their defensive line and then trade for ted ginn jr., I think we should give beck a chance, I know he is from BYU and detmer did terrible in the NFL but I think nobody knows how quinn or beck will do in the NFL now miami has many good WR including chambers, ted ginn, booker, and hakim so beck should do well
Hey nick you may have a point but the jury is still out, like we said earlier Ted Ginn Jr. may pack a big punch ala Hines Ward, thanks for you input.......peace...Al
I think this was a good pick, but they drafted him really early in my opinion. If they really wanted him they should've drafted someone else earlier, and traded down to pick him up later. But that's just my opinion
Me personally I think Miami needed offensive linemen and some defensive players, but it is still early and moves are going to be made as each time tries to get their roster for the upcoming season.......thanks from the crew at the Chop Shop.
Hey Greg, nothing against the Phins it's just that they need more than Dante, on both sides of the ball, hopefully this upcomming season they can turn the corner, their front D-7 is getting old so we will see Al & Marc from the Chop Shop.
Hey "D" thanks and we just try to say what others don't, and bring a simple perspective to the game with fun and flavor, get at us and tell others.......Al & Marc from the Chop Shop.......Peace!!!
Whats up, this is Al from the Chop Shop, You're right, but lets be honest, Miami has been hurting for a long time, mayb this upcoming season we can see some progress. Get at us and tell others to, more flavor to come........Peace!!!!!!
What up Maipain, this is Al from the Chop Shop, You are right about Cam, the only thing is that Ginn is a little undersized, but maybe he can pack a big punch, ala Hines Ward, Get at us and tell others too, we have more flavor coming at ya........Peace!!!!!!!
Yeah Ginn is undersized but I hope he will turn into a Steve Smith. Besides that Cam said Miami isnt rebuilding they want to win now thats another reason why they didnt take Quinn. Yeah I'll tell FinHeaven about you guys. Peace out.
I think it's funny how you said the lower you go the better the team you go to. And Brady Quinn ended up going to the Cleveland Browns ... probably the second worst franchise after the Lions.
Also, this pick will hurt them when Donte gets hurt. You have an injury prone QB with no backup and you have some pretty good WRs in Booker and Chambers... who do you go to? A QB obviously. The reason being that when Culpepper gets hurt (and you know that will happen this season) they have no backup.
Het rpmagatech, that is real on your comment, this is Al from the Chop Shop, your are right, the only thing is to wait for Miami and their new coach is to make moves to compensate for Dante's ? misshap, who knows he might come out and play with a vengence to solitify himself in Miami, get at us and tell others..........Peace!!!!!!!!
Thanks, This is Al from the Chop Shop we appreciate your comment, We are just trying to give true fans and real NFL peeps the good common Flavor, So tell others to check us out, we are comming even harder.....Peace!!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with fast guys, the deep threat they pose (just look at Randy Moss) can stretch the field and enable your other receivers to shine.
However, if the deep threat can't catch... then it doesn't work so well.

ted ginn is still rated higher than ur wr u ass and we got good picks and dwayane jarrett cant do shit 4 the miami ted ginn is gon b playin kr/pr/wr and gettin in or reverse plays but i admit we could have gotten that running back from
ohio state instead a booker he is ready to play on feild action booker needs to get bigger he is also a sixth of a second faster so i would have been more excited with him being our hb but booker will b on special teams starting with ginn i know this for a fact
eric522 4 years ago
Ginn is much faster than Hill. That isn't even debatable.

Besides Cam Cameron these are the only people who think that was a good pick.

Ginn can run. Miami fans will appreciate him after he score at least 5 TDs this year. You won't hear anything from them when Ginn goes off.
STARKST2001 4 years ago
if they wanted a KR they should have kept Welker!
raiderfan2112 4 years ago
you obviously did follow welker. he was a decent KR not great. The Dolphins traded welker because they got a steal from the pats.

Remember Steve Young came from BYU just like Beck and he did good
marinazul13 4 years ago
So was Ty Detmer.

I also think like you Righteous Talk, miami needed to improve their defense, or draft Quinn otherwise, but I really don't think Ginn Jr., is a smart pick, Maybe Dolphins shoul've traded down and still they could had got it :)
atlas482 4 years ago
Pretty sure John Beck is going to become amazing with time and become a franchise QB which actually has better Stats in College then Brady Quinn. Ted Ginn isn't only going to be a Punt Returner but also a awesome WR along side Pro Bowler Chris Chambers. Oh yeah don't forget their Defense to With three Pro Bowlers Jason Taylor ( Defense Player of the Year ) and Zach Thomas and Joey Porter can you say # 1 Defense in 07-08. The Bears were able to get some where with a lame QB and a great Defense.
FreedBison2005 4 years ago
I think the same as blizzsp they should had chosen okoye to reinforce their defensive line and then trade for ted ginn jr., I think we should give beck a chance, I know he is from BYU and detmer did terrible in the NFL but I think nobody knows how quinn or beck will do in the NFL now miami has many good WR including chambers, ted ginn, booker, and hakim so beck should do well

Sorry boys, but Ginn Jr. was an awful selection and Cam Cameron is a bumbling Mr. Magoo of a coach.
nickflit 4 years ago
Hey nick you may have a point but the jury is still out, like we said earlier Ted Ginn Jr. may pack a big punch ala Hines Ward, thanks for you input.......peace...Al
RighteousTalk 4 years ago
I think this was a good pick, but they drafted him really early in my opinion. If they really wanted him they should've drafted someone else earlier, and traded down to pick him up later. But that's just my opinion
blizzsp 4 years ago
Me personally I think Miami needed offensive linemen and some defensive players, but it is still early and moves are going to be made as each time tries to get their roster for the upcoming season.......thanks from the crew at the Chop Shop.
RighteousTalk 4 years ago
they will have a back up if culpepper gets hurt, as a matter of fact they just drafted him, beck! idiot.
plus if they get trent green that will just make things better for the phins.
go phins!
greg1661 4 years ago
Hey Greg, nothing against the Phins it's just that they need more than Dante, on both sides of the ball, hopefully this upcomming season they can turn the corner, their front D-7 is getting old so we will see Al & Marc from the Chop Shop.

Buckeye fan for life, and I couldn't believe this pick either. Miami GMs = morons.
kaisertwig 4 years ago
Whats up, this is Al from the Chop Shop, You're right, but lets be honest, Miami has been hurting for a long time, mayb this upcoming season we can see some progress. Get at us and tell others to, more flavor to come........Peace!!!!!!
RighteousTalk 4 years ago
Wow you guys know your shit. Hilarious too.
The Ginn pick makes since. Besides Cam doesn't want a inaccurate QB.
Majpain007 4 years ago
What up Maipain, this is Al from the Chop Shop, You are right about Cam, the only thing is that Ginn is a little undersized, but maybe he can pack a big punch, ala Hines Ward, Get at us and tell others too, we have more flavor coming at ya........Peace!!!!!!!
RighteousTalk 4 years ago
Yeah Ginn is undersized but I hope he will turn into a Steve Smith. Besides that Cam said Miami isnt rebuilding they want to win now thats another reason why they didnt take Quinn. Yeah I'll tell FinHeaven about you guys. Peace out.
Majpain007 4 years ago
I think it's funny how you said the lower you go the better the team you go to. And Brady Quinn ended up going to the Cleveland Browns ... probably the second worst franchise after the Lions.
Also, this pick will hurt them when Donte gets hurt. You have an injury prone QB with no backup and you have some pretty good WRs in Booker and Chambers... who do you go to? A QB obviously. The reason being that when Culpepper gets hurt (and you know that will happen this season) they have no backup.
rpmgatech 4 years ago
Het rpmagatech, that is real on your comment, this is Al from the Chop Shop, your are right, the only thing is to wait for Miami and their new coach is to make moves to compensate for Dante's ? misshap, who knows he might come out and play with a vengence to solitify himself in Miami, get at us and tell others..........Peace!!!!!!!!
RighteousTalk 4 years ago
Great video! Brady Quinn got screwed! Haha, like the joke about the girlfriend's ring.
