The names the states bore in antiquiety has little to no relation to the modern day comparisons. Present day Macedonia has no right to claim any real connection to ancient macedonia. But then on the other hand, the greek society as it was understood in classical times, does not exist anymore either. Only connection now are these: Lineage and geographical location.

Modern Macedonia holds no connection as such to classical Macedonia.

The Greek society of today carries all the culture from the classical times and before that (language, customs, traditions e.t.c.) Το βίντεο αυτό πολύ απλά λέει την αλήθεια...Οταν "αυτοί" χρησιμοποιούν λέξεις όπως "fuck greece,gay greeks" κλπ ώς επιχειρήματα για να μας πείσουν εμείς απαντάμε με ιστορικά τεκμηριωμένα στοιχεία.Είναι ενα εθνικό ζήτημα με το οποίο είμαστε ΥΠΟΧΡΕΩΜΕΝΟΙ όλοι οι Ελληνες να ασχολήθουμε και να θίξουμε (κ όχι αγνοήσουμε) ως ελάχιστο φόρο τιμής στους προγόνους μας που πολέμησαν για να διατηρηθούν τα ήθη και τα έθιμα μας και φυσικά για να μπορούμε σήμερα να σχολιάζουμε τέτοιες καταστάσεις ως ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΟΙ

2)turrany, where the "king" rules only for his interests and

the only time aristocrasy was really ruled a greek city, was in Croton colony in "magna grecia", modern south italy. with the help of Pythagoras.
