That was awful play by Gus. He gave Daniel every chance to fold because he gave away his hand. I don't blame Daniel for calling, however Daniel is not a great cash game player and many great players would have folded.

he should have put gus on pocket nines after the the bet on the turn and check/all in on the river. validating your suspicions can get very expensive as daniel displays in this brutal hand. i think this call would have been more justified if Negreanu were in fact holding nines, leaving only one hand that would best him, in which case you will absolutely pay to see it, regardless of how good you really think you are

definitely not a gr8 play by guss, he got lucky... for rest of the poker players.. it was a snap call.. i like daniel gave a thought that guss might have the "nuts" and was trapping him.. now thats a good poker play!!!

@Cenkamikaze Definitely is. The professionals who consistently win and make a living off of poker obviously just get lucky all the time, year after year. Sure they may study poker and practice a lot, but really it is just 100% luck like you said. Wait a minute...That defies statistics...
