  • @sexiglasgowgirl Agreed, thanks :)

  • Snore........zzzzzzzz

  • IDK if this is tourettes, but I have this thing that if I bend my hand back and my wrist is showing I start to feel uncomfortable and I start twisting it around and rubbing my wrists for no reason. o_o;

  • I have tourette's myself, but my mind drifted off while watching this, only to be awakened by the outburst of laughter of what it would be like if someone had a motor tic where they HAD to do pelvic thrusts.

...actually choked on my orange juice.

  • Do you have a website in Belgium I can look at? My son has Dutch in him. So it sounds like your saying Belgium is way ahead of the world in the matter of TS and it's Cormorbidities when it comes to Natural remedies? Correct? So how is the fish oils working for your son? Very good.. Are you and your wife trying to tackle the problems of the tics at this point. I am just curious and wish your family the very best.

  • Be sure and check your son on occassion because our children can get toe tics and we do not knwo that inside their shoes they are ticking a toe. Serious! I once thought gee my sons tics were less this time around as in what ever the duration would be. I saw his toe moving inside his shoe once and the same thing when he had his shoes off. We both thought it was kind of funny. He was kind of glad when that one was gone because it was kind of annoying...

  • Kalevala87 you're SO full of BULLSHIT that you're even taking it to a new level of bullshityness. PLEASE re-check your sources. Ass

  • BOB SAGET

  • please will someone help me to help my son.. please

  • my son got the tourette syndrome too. he is 10 years old , he got bad language and heavy movement tics the hole day. i learnt that not two cases are the same. so it is very diffecult to get help. and we don't want too give him psyco medicine that turns him into a zombie. in belgium they are much further in this, but there is no cure. we hope that he ungrow it wen he becomes a teenager,...tell me youre story please. mayby i can give some help !!

  • hey hooglander13 Thanks! May I ask you a few questions? Is your son on any medications now? When I talk about TS and it's Cormorbidities I am speaking about my sons case and or others that I have known or know. The sooner one gets help the sooner the child is best managed for themselves, you and those in the world around them. When my son hit his teens his tics did start to diminish just as the doctors told me they likely would. That doesn't mean the Cormorbidities are gone. No Cure u knw

  • no !! we do not give him any medecation beside fishoil fot the omega 3 acids. that was a tip by the belgium TS organatation.like i said ,belgium is way ahaed in this, you should see in too this. oeps yea i am dutch and so is belgium, and you are an american.but there is information in english too. good luck

  • "Dad theres some white stuff on the floor.."

    THATS MY ASS!

  • hhahaha

  • i got Coprolalia

  • Tourettes Syndrome is cured by THC Sativa, people with the disorder smoke good bud and I promise you your tourettes will go away.

  • This is totally true.

  • THC does not cure Tourette's. THC has been shown to reduce the occurrence of tics and the feeling of urge, but it cannot be considered a "cure." Also, the side effects should be taken into account, and they can range from mild euphoria to downright hallucinations. It is still a drug we're talking about.

  • this isnt really a chatroom

  • wow wtf is up with the messages below?

  • indeed!

  • omg this video is true!!! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME for my son please

  • love the videos posted by drmdk!

  • zzzzz...

  • This doctor probably only sees people with severe cases of Tourettes, alot of people have mild cases and never need to go to the doctor about it. People only go to a doctor if they want to try a prescription, doctors want to sell prescriptions. No prescription for Tourettes is good, The Klonopin causes heart problems ect... The jumping isn't a compulsion, the calve muscles are over used so the tick/ tension is there. Camomilla drops are better than Lavander (gives man boobs) and St. Johns Wort.

  • ICAREFUL.... if that potion worked for your child then wow wee and good for you! Have you ever considered that if camomilla drops worked for most people that they would choose that over percriptive drugs and appointments and all? btw.. how much st johns wrot would one have to take and what is the cost per month?

  • Look at his head bobbing all over the place. He prolly has the movement syndrome lol.

  • Shut up!

  • Making you feel better is all part of the job Rugbymandem, and best of all its free, so i wont be putting an invoice out to 14 Park road, Tividale, near Buuuurmingham!! that is right isnt it??

This is known as cluckitus soon you will develope a need to eat seeds and to walk around in cricles flapping your arms...... be careful because your family might serve you up for sunday dinner one day!!! all the best

  • hey thanks u motherfucking cunt :D thank u for making me feel better about myself becaus ei have a problem, also im very glad that u were brave enough to reply or send me this in a message rather than just leaving a comment here so that i dont notice that you wrote shit about me ;D

  • Blah blah blah blah blah................

  • im not sure why u are like this

but your comment is very offencive

  • hey bro, FUCK URSELF :D

  • What is your problem? People with tourettes actually can't help their tics, so don't offend them for something thy can't help. It's like me offending you for sneezing.

  • Fuck you, and fuck you for bullying me when I was little, then trying to date me when I was older when you thought I was pretty and my eye spasms subsided to a much cuter occasional "eyelid batting", jaeoneil, and everyone who picked on me for it when I was a little girl but tried to get with me later! There, I said it.

  • Um, 1. I have eye spasms (so, I don't headbutt shop windows) that are less now so the same people who picked on me when I was a little girl are trying to date me now.. it doesn't make them (you) look very good. 2. I don't need YOU to make me realise that life isn't easy, thanks for the offer though. 3. Your text shows that you have severe mental illnesses, besides simply being a mean person, and that you require the help of a psychologist at the very least.

How do you think YOU'RE perceived?

  • thats jus brain fail life or brain hmm nice grammar n ye i can spell but its utube not an english lesson n y dont u go n neck dick jus cos peopl no what grammar is oh n by th way u even got the tune wrong FAIL n do u no its quite common to hav spasms ye so y pik on peopl who hav it u are an illogical retard the end n if u wana kik off b my guest u wil b travelin quite a few miles if u wanted to get me yankee cunt to jaeonell

  • jus ignore him m8. he's obviously jus pissed off about not having a penis n taking it out on the wrong folk. at the end of the day some people are like that coz'v hard times n a difficult life but in the end, they'l get there's.

ps dont worry bout the tics n ocd's, unless they'r realy bad its ok to deal with n things like that are becoming more n more socialy acceptable. me n my m8s jus tend to laugh at all the stupid shit i do jus coz i get this uncrontrolable urge to do sumthing.

  • thank u m8 :)

made me feel alot better about this

    really apreciate it :)

    gonna sub and friend :P

  • rugyman that ass who was mena to you is one of the reason I involved my son socialy at a very young age. It is best for him to learn to deal and adjust to the many different types of people that he will encounter along lifes journey.. plus you know hanging out with a kind and being able to do kid stuff and get away with it by saying,,, i took my son 2 chucky cheese or i took my son 2 the Aquarium, the park, the zoo OMG I LOVE THE ZOO!!! lol You know.. peace good 4 them and good 4 U N GD me too

  • btw...u notice the sarcasme??

  • i have somethin wher ei have to either roll my eyes twitch my noes or the main one is where i jerk my head forward and i have to do it properly, sometimes i migh tbe able to do it first time or takes a few tries it gives me headaches sometimes and when i do it i can do anything untill ive done it properly.

um what im getting at is

do i have turetts or is it something else like OCD plz respond :)

  • Sounds like OCD to me.

  • ok cheers mate :)

  • :):)

  • you likely do have a tic disorder. It takes a lot to be diagnosed with 'tourettes', including a combination with OCD. many many people have tic disorders. Do you often feel like you need to satisfy an urge, so you have to keep doing it over and over again? Like an itch you need to scratch? That is what a tic in a tic disorder feels like. that's also what tourettes feels like, but as i said, to be diagnosed with tourettes, you have to have a combination of certain other symptoms.

  • yea its like an itch and when ive done it i feel relived that i have and can get on with whatever els ei was doing :)

  • is constantly walking on your tiptoes a tic??

i used to do that alot but one day i guess i just stopped

  • i have a twitch ive had it for years

  • I used to have tourettes to but when I went to become a very angry teenage bastards, all the tics went away. I never known anyone else were the tics just went away. I uses to make faces, roll my eyes, and say short words that don't exist. Now I only say fuck (quitely) when something doensn't work immediately

  • this is wierd i actually had a blinking problem when i was five then grew out of it slowly by 8. now sometimes i have to cough hard or breath out hard or make a nois frm my throat other wise it feels like an itch lmao but thats just like maby a handful a times in a month so would that be similar to this ?

  • yes you could have a very mild case of TS

  • Comment removed

  • dfgdf

  • got mine from taking provigil...

  • I shake my head, rotate my neck tensely, blink my eyes, have abdominal tension, skip when I walk, bang my wrist on desks while typing, bend my knees, repeat certain words every day many times a day, look at cornered objects from the right side of my peripheral vision, wrinkle my nose, sniff things, and make blowing tics from my mouth. Those are the tics of mine off the top of my head. lol Quite a bit.

  • yeah i oftern repeat words i hear in the form of a growl.. wtf is up with that? i hate having this stupid disorder.

  • u think your gonna do it but then it just burst out right? like you gotta urge to do it.

  • Exactly. I like to describe it to people as an itch. If people suddenly get an itch, they feel like they have to scratch it. Well if I get a compulsion to tic, I have to. Otherwise, it would just keep bothering me until I did, like an itch.

  • Wow i use to think i was wierd i didnt think it was a tic because i thought tics came out of nowhere like muscles move alone or something but now i know..whenever im sitting or watching a movie or something i gotta start doing it! some times i can hold it but then i cant..i hope it goes away in a couple of years i think i got it when i was 9 and now im 13 i thought it would be over by now..

  • I've shown signs of it since I was 5, but I wasn't diagnosed with it till I was 13. I'm 14 now. But yeah, when muscles move by themselves, that is something WAY different. Doctors may say that Tourette's is involuntary, and that is true in a sense, but it is mostly voluntary, just like you can voluntarily choose to scratch an itch. It's a horrible brain disease but I've grown to accept it as a part of my life.

  • i know i do it when im mostly sitting or doing nothing or when something awesome is happening

i don't know why.. i know when i started to get this when i was watching a game of soccer and my cousin why are u saying that so much!?!

  • My parents first recognized something was wrong when my eyes were twitching and she asked me, "Why'd you just roll your eyes at me?" lol About a year and a half later I was diagnosed.

  • I never had any childhood tics but all of a sudden now I have TS and it's just getting worse. I shake my head and I lift my shoulder up to my ear very fast. Not a good thing when you shoot guns or messing around with a harmonica.

  • I am a person who was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome. I have really annoying motor tics, and have had many for years. Some go away, but some have remained. I had phonic tics which went away.

Having Tourettes used to be a bit more awkward for me. Nowadays, people will ask me "why do you keep doing that?" and I'll just blurt out, "oh... I have Tourettes".

  • if i wanted to diagnose someone with tourette's, apart from a clinical diagnosis, is there a test such as mri, meg, dna test etc. that could identify this? Personally I would be interested in that for a patient diagnosis test (as in an actor) rather than an actual living patient, in case you wanted to know why i want to know..

  • There is not mri or eeg that will see or pick up on Tourettes. It took me days of testing Four hours a day to get a diagnosis.

  • Check dopamine balances. That's the key.

  • Thank you for uploading this. I am currently majoring in psychology, and for one of my classes I had to research on this subject.

  • Rant on. I used to have several ticks when i was a kid age 5 - 6. i did not even know when i was doing it.But i stopped them completely shortly after. when you get diagnosed and labeled you accept it for yourself which is self limiting. The trick that stopped it for me was being caught on video and then shown how stupid i looked. I forced myself to stop them Its down to mind power. I agree habit becomes automatic, after a year it's very ingrained but not impossible to stop. rant off!

  • sonofhendrix, you had childhood tics, not Tourette. TS is tics present for one year plus vocal tics. Lots of kids have tics but they clear up. I had childhood tics which cleared and then developed TS aged 14. Believe me if I could have not ticced aged 16 in front of my gf, I would have given anything not to - I did not get diagnosed until age 18. Sure labels can be self-limiting but they exist for good reasons and for me it was a big relief I wasn't going crazy.

  • you are correct. about 75% of kids have transient childhood tics that go away.

  • ive had it for about 4 years now!

    started really suddenly!

  • YES, so true:)

  • I see.

  • Thats is word-for-word what happened to me! Seeing the video played back freaked myself out and have stopped doing the motor-ticks through will power alone.

  • wth is this guy a prof or not ... its like he can't give straightforward answers beats abt the bush and ultimately i still dunno how to differentiate a tick and a compulsion... seriously not the best way to create awareness for tourettes

  • i think i have a type of that, i cant stand it when someone erases something and leaves a small bit of the writing or drawing unerases

  • that's obcessive compulsive disorder, not tourette's. i have ocd as well with some things and sometimes it can be a real pain.

  • I've never wanted a beer more than when I'm watching this video..

  • Oh, I wish I could be as funny as u are...

  • you are one stupid fuck.

  • @OTEP1234567891011 only stupid fuck is you :D

  • hahahaha you know whats funny...? not you fucking retard!

  • Kali Angel really needs some positive support. Here is a video we made when she had a visit to the Hospital for a breathing test. This 9 year old girl with Tourette Syndrome is working hard to be successful in school and in her career. He dream is to be a famous singer songwriter and she is in vocal music lessons but she needs to raise the funds to continue.

    Brightest Blessings

    Kali Angel's Mom

  • I wish all who may have symptoms strength and power to fight the syndrome and live well.

  • Too bad this video ended when it did.

  • I like this video, this definately should be put up on the front page of youtube. It will teach all those faggot azz people that make fun of it to stop doing that. I have a low end of the Extreme case of Tourette's Disorder with a side effect of ADD & Mood Disorder, and sometimes it feels hopeless...

  • Yep I have tourette's and tonic clonic or "granmal" seizures. Sometimes my ticks can send me into seizures if they are bad enough that day. I've never sworn but I have said silly words like butter, but it's very rare when that happens, and I'm able to function in the classroom and at work very well. I'm in school for criminal psychology, so I'm doing well with it despite my ticks and so on.

  • It's Grand Mal - as in "Big Bad" in french.

  • This is a very educational video. I have TS with practically all symptoms. Copralalia especially. It waxes and wanes. Right now I am doing very well with no copralalia symptoms, mostly leg kicking, neck shaking, eye blinking, and nose twitches. Thanks for your information.

  • Interestingn video,A+++
