  • Mine Escape?

  • Second favorite tune in Sonic 3. My first has to be the staff credits however.

  • the bit that starts at 16 seconds is the reason i listen to this, pure emotion! :D

  • 3...2...1...

    FAULT

  • Dreams of an Absolution - Green Hill Zone

City Escape - Endless Mine can someone tell me other sound alikes?

  • @ilikeGorillaz1 The ending song for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the song in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, Sweet Dreams

  • @sonicwashere actually Sweet Dreams is a remix of Sweet Sweet. (Sweet Sweet is the Sonic 2 ending theme) i meant what else sounds alike accidentally.

  • Holy crap that is City Escape.

  • ehhhh i have to say they didn't pull out the big guns for this track...Balloon park, Azure lake.. chrome and desert palace were all amazing tracks...I just could never get into endless mine -__-

  • @nypad5 Desert Palace will never get into my head,no matetr what.Chrome Gadget is somewhat memorable, but still boring IMO.

  • City Escape. The 16-bit edition

  • I always thought the little music sound at the beginning was my Sega Genesis being defective... It took me the longest time to figure out that was part of Endless Mine...

  • The other day I was playing sonic 3 time trial for the heck of it then I heard this and wondered why it sounded like city escape. Although I wonder if it was intentional?

  • sorry i thught becuse this is my 1 week for having a accont so im stell leaning

  • youy mesed up you hacked in to my accont

  • this song souds like city escape classic remix

  • @ThePenlessArbiter Makes my brain hurt, it's that painful to read.

  • I DON'T CARE WHAT LIES AHEAD

NO TIME FOR GUESSING FOLLOW MY PLAN INSTEAD

Oh wait, wrong song. My bad.

  • i knew that part in the classic city escape remix sounded familiar:')

  • @ThePenlessArbiter That being said, this really did end up getting remixed into the Classic City Escape theme in Sonic Generations.

  • Running through an endless mine This place withstood the test of time Surviving all the traps & trials Will surely make your life worthwhile Danger is lurking around every turn Trust your feelings gotta live & learn I know with some luck that ill make it through Got no other options only 1 thing to do Run without hesitation Run for endless generations Keep on going, keep on going Keep on moving forward & do not stop do not stop do not stop Gonna run as long as I please Cause im free Gotta keep
  • The only reason why we think it sounds like city escape is because we were told it does. I don't know about you guys, but before the classic remix came out I wouldn't of thought this sounded similar to city escape.

  • @mast3rsword64 Sssssssso?

  • Sonic generations did NOT bring me here.

  • @ExplosiveMatter it was used for classic city escape in case if u didnt know

  • Brings back so many memories i wanted to cry to this song :')

  • I can't help but sing the lyrics to City Escape every time I hear this track now.

  • @ThePenlessArbiter What relevance does that have to this video? There's no one talking over the song, YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED!

  • My fastest time in Endless Mine was under 50 seconds, now I need to get it back.

  • Trust your feelings gotta live and learn.. :U

lol Sonic Generations brought me here, I never heard this before until I read Classic Sonic's remix from City Escape has a clip of this song -3 SEGA is win.

  • Like this music. I don't know why but it always makes me think to Eastern Germany.

  • ya know, instead of this considered as a classic remix, maybe city escape acctualy got its music from endless mine, cause classic city escape is a mix of the original city escape, includding for modern's,so why say this is classic's city escape only,it might mean the person who made city escape acctualy got this from endless mine as its original theme!

  • This is my favourite classic Sonic song. :D

  • Sega really plans out their future projects

  • Comment removed

  • In the game, mine isnt endless,it just goes in circles :P

PS OK now really shut up,yes this music is similar to city escape,so WHAT?Cant you just listen to music and slowly float back in time with music (0:02-0:30 moments specially)

  • @bluehedgehog59 What? Well of course it sounds like the classic city escape. And it's awesome. Just enjoy the music

  • OH MY GOD IT DOES SOUND LIKE IT!

  • @ThePenlessArbiter

There's nothing worse than people who try to sound more intelligent than they are.

  • @legorulez49 wait...what?

  • Comment removed

  • city escape, never thought :D

  • THIS SONG IS MY CHILDHOOD

  • FUCK.. I've played this game my entire life, and never once played the multiplayer on this stage. ;(

Now I know why I felt so left out on the City Escape jazz...

  • @hypermetalsonic Really? They're neat stages, even for playing alone.

  • 0:16

Danger Is Lurking Around Every Turn

Trust Your Feelings Got To Live And Learn

I know With Some Effort I'll Make It Trough

Got No Other Options Only One Thing To Do-Do-Do-Do-Do!

  • @sonicfan3346, that was epic how they just snuck this into City Escape.

  • @sonicfan3346 Yeah I was wondering if that was just me.

  • @sonicfan3346 Beat me to it.

  • @sonicfan3346 you got thet from city escape

  • @jeremy9298 Yeah. He did that because at :16, that particular part of the song is the roughly the same sounds that City Escape uses.

  • @jeremy9298 Yep.

  • I like this song, but it doesn't really sound like it would fit in a Endless Mine.

  • @LD75network To me, a mine would not be endless without this song.

  • 5 people couldn't get through the endless mine.

  • When I was playing Sonic 3 multiplayer with my cuz i started noticing it sounded like City Escape in my mind. AMAZING!!!!!

  • one of the all time best songs to play on guitar

  • This (other than the fact that it's now Classic City Escape) sounds like it should've been an ending theme for another Sonic game.

  • I will never forgot how much joy sonic gave me as a kid

  • I wi

  • It's really sad how a bunch of fans of Sonic Generations are complaining about them autotuning the new City Escape theme to Endless Mine for fifteen fucking seconds.

Those idiots need to go die in a fire. ALL 15,000+ OF THEM. That was an awesome throw back, and it was short and sweet. Get over it. >_>

  • @Sparkz1607 i liked that part of the Classic City Escape before i ever heared this , in fact , its the reason why i like the new generations one better

  • Touched my heart

  • when I was like 4 this song made me cry cause it made me feel sad for some reason, it's like the song Mad World today. Haha good job sega.

  • This is in the classic Sonics city escape

  • @Sonicshot101 Late to the party.

  • Sonic 3 Endless Mine > Sonic Generations City Escape.

  • Oh the nostalgia factor of this game is extremely high, I do enjoy the good times I had with this game, me, my family, my friends. Everyone. But as times went on, me and most of my friends separated, and my family barely communicates with me or each other anymore. I will admit I do miss the past and its simplicity, but the sad fact of the matter is that life goes on. Sonic 3 will always have a special place in my heart...

  • When I was a kid, this song made me sad, I though that this should belong to a movie or something. xP

Sonic 3 left precious memories of my childhood. :)

  • If only there was an easy way to make the acapella for City Escape, this would sound perfect with it.

  • There is something about this tune that always made me feel so happy...

  • Danger is lurking around every turn...

  • @Thadiwyn Trust your feelings got to live and learn!

  • @TurbotheHedgehog32X How do you know it's even coconuts? It could be Metal Sonic for all we know.

  • lol good times....good times....bring back memorys....back when things was so simple

  • @TVFreakVlogs and now Metal Sonic has joined this group.

  • rollin around at the speed of sound..........

  • 4 people haven't listened to the City Escape Classic remix for Sonic Generations.

  • @MamaLuigiBarrelRoll the last half of the lyrics are wrong :(

  • @jasonbladex Alright, then you tell me what they are. I'd like to know.

  • @MamaLuigiBarrelRoll (First half right) "Danger is lurking around every turn, trust your feelings got to live and learn," (the other half ->) "I know with some luck that I'll make it through, got no other options only one thing to do"

  • @MamaLuigiBarrelRoll your brain has burned in the wrong lyrics xP

  • @MamaLuigiBarrelRoll So I'm not the only one who heard it!

  • This would have been a great track for the credits roll.

  • Love it :) Eerie in a way, but I love it!

  • I find this music very saddening :(

  • Part of this music is featured in Sonic Generations City Escape.

  • @Jami393 No shit it was, almost all the other comments mention that as well. ;-)

  • um.... i never been there before

  • I love this song in Sonic 3. My sister likes this song. I think I might send it to her on her facebook.

  • basically the "last dance" of the Grand Prix mode of competition stages on Sonic 3.

  • @TVFreakVlogs metal sonic joined

  • 3...2...1...

    FAULT

    xD

  • @TVFreakVlogs And now, Coconuts too.

  • @Interation01 Heheh... Hey Tails.... Nuts.... Psshh...HAHAHAHA *bonk*

  • Oh, wow, this was perfect to incorporate into City Escape. I wonder if the way City Escape sounds was on purpose...

  • @FerreTrip Never thought of that until I heard the remix. That would be an awesome reference to S3&K. :3

  • All I hear now when I hear this song is the new city escape music :P

  • @Pyro25100 yep, i also hear Dreams of an Absolution in Grreen Hill Zone

  • @TVFreakVlogs

Since it's 4 now add Coconuts. XD

  • Comment removed

  • i love the memories but this tune used to make me feel sad when ever my cousin left town with her parents and left me to play this game alone :(

  • the prototype of city escape. :')

  • FAULT!

  • @Pedro2112tm lol as soon as I read your comment I heard that obnoxious buzzing noise xD

  • @Scarredgraymouse Oh, how I miss that buzzing noise xD

  • Endless Minecraft.

  • 0:16

Da-nger is Lur-king Around EEVERY Turn! Trust your feelings GOT to Live and learn!

  • They should make a sonic game in 16 bit, with mega drive graphics, music and all! That would be awesome. Nintendo did this with Megaman 9 and 10, they went back in 8-bit and it turned out good!

  • @MillionBartek capcom

  • @crudnsludge Yeah, but it would be awesome eh?

  • @MillionBartek Capcom owns megaman you dummy

  • @quackblade8 Wow, you sure are dumb as hell. I am saying that they should go back to 8 bit and you start about capcom. Fallen of the tree?

  • @MillionBartek lol, you're continuing to be a retard, sonic wasn't 8-bit, it was 16-bit. say something else stupid, please

  • @quackblade8 You must have pretty much time to search for old comments on youtube videos and reply to them. I mean they should get back to the old roots of sonic.

  • @MillionBartek This isn't the 90's, its 2012 bro. It's time to move on.

  • @RyanETF Yeah I know, but some people keep bragging about sonic's look and all.

  • [insert Inception joke here]

  • They slipped a remix of Endless Mine into the 2nd verse of the City Escape remix. So its two remixes in one.

  • @TVFreakVlogs

And coco (if that's his name).

  • @NateNetron sonic generations-city escape

  • Wait, wait, wait. This is what City Escape originated from?

  • @MovieMagicMaster No, the new classic remix of city escape has this in it. The original city escape is a song on its own.

  • @Fanime456

My bad then. I don't know, it's just that certain parts of this (or at least the beginning) reminded me of the original City Escape.

  • @Fanime456 Now i see what you meant, it does sound like the original a little.

  • The nostalgia!!!!!!!!!

Me and my sister used to play this all the time and this was my favourite race level. It's got to be at least 13 years since I last played this game. Oh the memories. :)

  • @Water3Monkey I know, right :D I liked this one best but my bro always liked Mystic Cave Zone for Sonic 2 better.

  • this could've been in chaotix..

  • if you listen you can kinda hear escape from the city! the irony!

  • :,{

  • @NateNetron

    dangit

    beat me to it

  • Imagine if in Sonic Generations they had a classic 2 player with the top and bottom screens like in Sonic 3 with a remix of this song... WOH!!!

  • @SirKoto51 they already did!

  • @SirKoto51 search sonic generations city escape classic remix you will get what im talking about

  • @UntamedYoshi I DONT UNDESTAND I DONT SEE THE SIMILARITIES :(

  • @brennanthebrown check the part at 0:16 seconds you will eventually get it.

  • Everybody stop being dicks. If someone thinks new sonic games and music are better than old sonic ones, go cry about it somewhere else.

  • 0:15 - My lyrics (lol!)

    I hate most new games...

I like the old ones, new aren't the same

I wish that I could bring them back

Memories are the best so don't give me that crap!

  • Youtube brings childhood backs :)

  • Holy s*** I just realised that aspects of Escape from the City are based from this. Listen to 0:16 and hear the similarities.

  • Hmm, I wonder who made the other half of this videos views? c:

  • I love this song.... brings back memories. Michael Jackson did an outstanding job with the soundtrack. May he rest in peace.

  • How come I never knew this music has the same rhythm as City Escape in the beginning? x3

  • @AvassaladoresVEVO it starts at 0:16

  • Danger is lurking around every turn

Judge your feelings got to live and learn!

  • this song was supposedly composed by the late michael jackson

  • @mushookie0heimer

Not this one. The telltale sign is whether or not it was replaced in Sonic & Knuckles Collection, and even then you can't say that MJ did them all.

MJ's only known active contribution was the credits theme (with Buxer) that later became Stranger in Moscow. Otherwise, Jackson can really only be credited for the original sound and for coordinating his colleagues for the project.

It's more likely that Buxer, MJ's usual arranger, was directed to make these.

  • Generations bring you here, didn't you?

  • @SpartanUnDead

    Yup.

  • holy crap, i had no idea Endless Mine, was the basis for City Escape's song!

  • @RyonsVids Me neither. I just had a WTF moment!

  • @RyonsVids green hill=dreams of an absolution

unused sonic 3 song (unnamed just search for it)=never turn back

    endless mine=city escape

  • Looks like my thumbs up ended at 313. Well it was a long ride, but it had to end eventually.

  • Does the addition in Sonic Generations mean that Jun had something to do with this song originally?

(Even if Cash Cash are the ones who actually did the classic arrangement to City Escape.)

  • Somehow i didnt catch this when i first heard the sonic generations city escape remix

  • ....Shat Brix...

  • Aw...this brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for posting. :,D

  • Heh i remember i got sonic 3 for the PC 8 years ago. I always did this level with my brother (:

  • @silversunset23 I wasn't, but I gave it a thumbs up anyway XD

  • ALMOST UP TO 300!!!

  • @HyperSonicXtreme i made it 303 lol

  • Thumbs up if you were here BEFORE Sonic Generations City Escape music, BUT you still enjoy the fact it was mixed into it! =)

  • @FS3K Haha, how many people didn't hear this song before Sonic Generations?

  • was every sent here from that comment on the classic city escape vid?

  • This song makes my heart very very happy, especially now that it's been remixed with City Escape!

  • I can barely hear this song in the remix...

  • @TacoBoat2 You do hear it at one point. Hear the Classic one right here at 0:15 to 0:30 and then search on YouTube for Sonic Generations City Escape Remix.

Check on 1:10 which starts the Song "Endless Mine" but with Lyrics now and it ends at 1:30

There you go, you can now hear it. It's noticeable every time you hear it since the Song sounds different when it starts at 1:10
