@Zledaren yup search for "mugi crisis core undub" you need to be on cfw to play it... the language is in japanese and all the cut scnes, but with english subs and all the menu are in english..
Crisis Core is an art masterpiece, one of the best games on any console. Incredible story that pulls you in from start to finish, epic soundtrack, deep and challenging gameplay, and an ending that will make grown men cry. What more could anyone want from a game?

I picked this game up the other day for a fiver, and what a bargain that was. Its my first final fantasy game and i think the story and graphics are excellent. Just got past the bit where you are like a guinea pig for that scientist hojo and you have to kill that big blue rat thing.
i love this game so much i played it for a total of 300 hours, not straight of course xD but i mastered that game, and i used the throw gil attack, and i could do over 1 billion in damage, due to me having so much gil! i killed that super boss with like 10billion hp in 10 hits! :D easy easy easy! :] loved the game!

@E115woods14 1st, its not psp with updated graphics. 2nd the vita uncharted isnt the ps3 game, its a complacently new uncharted game. 4th psv has ps3 graphics and more ram then the ps3 so it cant be compared to the psp at all.
This game is not really that good, it is very repetitive and it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the original FFVII, even the story does not mach it, there are a lot of things that come out of nowhere. Also, Sephiroth is not like the one they show in this game at all, and what's with all that "Wing" shit? seriously NO.

I found the easiest way to level up in this game was to get into combat and then just put the psp down for a half an hour or so and when you get back you've gained a bunch of levels. The whole "slot machine" game mechanic was just a terrible idea.
@mooganify the game has this "slot machine" mechanic where random events will occur without any input from the player.... those random events include healing to full, awesome mega attacks, and leveling up. Since you can go back and face the same guys that you fight at level 1 over and over again it eventually becomes a leveling tactic to just go back and fight them over and over and try to stretch out the fights as much as possible in order to get the "slot machine" to level you.
only bad part was the ending >.< i liked zack! T_T why is it my fave characters allways die or leave or never show up ever again for some strange reason?! T_T
@rikkiandsparkey I disagree, I thought the ending was the best part of the game (and that's not a smartass joke, I'm talking about what happens to Zack). I thought the way they did things was great. It made the player feel much more sorry for Zack than they did during the original FFVII game. I didn't like a lot of things about this game, though. Like the nonesensical story, incredibly repetitive gameplay, and don't even get me started on the slot machine.

First thing's first.
Get yourself a copy of Final Fantasy I and play through that bitch in a day - use a walkthrough if needed.
Then go get yourself FFIV, this one's pretty deep imo - characters involved got quite a lot of... Emotion.
After you've smashed that, get FFVII and play through that bitch's 3 disks and after a week without any human contact, hit up Crisis Core and you should be fine.
@xEnragedxPenguinx Most of the games are standalone titles, so you can really start anywhere (though most people started with Final Fantasy VII), I agree with Nenjaw, you might want to start with the very first Final Fantasy. Not only is that where "it all began", but having played that would let you see just how much the series has evolved over time. I'd say the titles that you "need" to play are VI, VII, VIII, IX and X (might as well do 'em in order). The Complete Collection is also good.
The graphics look pretty good, though now, since I got Dissidia, I won't be getting any other games for now.Other than that, is it like KH: BBS, where you control the character in real-time?

Amazing game, I recommend playing the original FFVII first though. Because I did I kept going "ooooh" lol there were quite a bit omg or jaw dropping moments. The story and characters are the best thing about both games, not one game has come close to it story/charactrer wise for me. and even though I knew what was going to happen at the end, I cried. The way they do it all is breath taking, but I won't spoil it dont worry. this is a must play, deserves more then a min and a half review tho
@MrhalfAlchemist44 I did the same thing, but after playing FF7, I realized reading the plot was actually a waste of time - plus I missed out on a lot of great in-game features, scenes and funny dialouge. When it comes to FF7, reading the plot rather than playing it is about as effective as reading "how to ride a bike", and not practising it. I'd recommend playing FF7. It's cheap on the PSN store.
@Kisuke91Urahara I'd recommend finishing Final Fantasy 7 first so you can appreciate the prequel and understand it's storyline. I played Crisis Core first, and then went to play FF7 - big mistake! I was blown away by how SMALL CC was in comparison. It doesn't do FF7 ANY justice, which in contrast has an in-depth and fuller game-play AND storyline. You will grasp the story of CC much better after playing FF7. Wouldn't you do the same with a movie and it's prequel?

@Saruko9d9 That was shocking, but the death of Zack was even harder on everyone than Aeris' death. When looked at her death on my side, I didn't care as much for Aeris, as I did with the leading character Zack. I think that's the difference.

And as a prequel, CC answered everything that needed to be answered in FF7, where as BBS just left more questions for KH. I like CC and you like BBS, this argument is done, happy? Also Vita BBS? @gold908 Well the prequel BBS didn't leave that many questions, AND that is what Utada wants, he wants more question so those questions can follow up into new KH games like Dream Drop Distance for 3DS, that's the exact point the Game is doing. BBS Vita? when I said this was because, Utada is planning on making a Sequel for the BBS, called Birth By Sleep Volume 2 (introduced at the end of BBS Final Mix). Huge expectations and rumors is that it is heading to the PS vita, and I'm sure it will.
@gold908 And the reason why I stated Birth By Sleep Sequel on Vita, was because unlike Crisis Core, birth by sleep is at least been making follow up merchandise, like Birth By Sleep Final Mix, and Birth By Sleep 2. But I guess it can advertise FF7 a little more, and get people to play it. But even though I love Kingdom hearts, FF is where it's at.

@rikkiandsparkey I disagree, I thought the ending was the best part of the game (and that's not a smartass joke, I'm talking about what happens to Zack). I thought the way they did things was great. It made the player feel much more sorry for Zack than they did during the original FFVII game. I didn't like a lot of things about this game, though. Like the nonesensical story, incredibly repetitive gameplay, and don't even get me started on the slot machine.

@rikkiandsparkey There wasn't much they could do about it anyway. The end of Crisis Core can already be seen in the original FFVII through a flashback, but it's just a lot less dramatic.

First thing's first.
Get yourself a copy of Final Fantasy I and play through that bitch in a day - use a walkthrough if needed.
Then go get yourself FFIV, this one's pretty deep imo - characters involved got quite a lot of... Emotion.
After you've smashed that, get FFVII and play through that bitch's 3 disks and after a week without any human contact, hit up Crisis Core and you should be fine.

@xEnragedxPenguinx Most of the games are standalone titles, so you can really start anywhere (though most people started with Final Fantasy VII), I agree with Nenjaw, you might want to start with the very first Final Fantasy. Not only is that where "it all began", but having played that would let you see just how much the series has evolved over time. I'd say the titles that you "need" to play are VI, VII, VIII, IX and X (might as well do 'em in order). The Complete Collection is also good.

Amazing game, I recommend playing the original FFVII first though. Because I did I kept going "ooooh" lol there were quite a bit omg or jaw dropping moments. The story and characters are the best thing about both games, not one game has come close to it story/charactrer wise for me. and even though I knew what was going to happen at the end, I cried. The way they do it all is breath taking, but I won't spoil it dont worry. this is a must play, deserves more then a min and a half review tho

@MrhalfAlchemist44 I did the same thing, but after playing FF7, I realized reading the plot was actually a waste of time - plus I missed out on a lot of great in-game features, scenes and funny dialouge. When it comes to FF7, reading the plot rather than playing it is about as effective as reading "how to ride a bike", and not practising it. I'd recommend playing FF7. It's cheap on the PSN store.

@Kisuke91Urahara I'd recommend finishing Final Fantasy 7 first so you can appreciate the prequel and understand it's storyline. I played Crisis Core first, and then went to play FF7 - big mistake! I was blown away by how SMALL CC was in comparison. It doesn't do FF7 ANY justice, which in contrast has an in-depth and fuller game-play AND storyline. You will grasp the story of CC much better after playing FF7. Wouldn't you do the same with a movie and it's prequel?

Crisis Core had a major awful plot, while BBS was decent, not decent, Good. and Crisis Core doesn't even have multiplayer. Not to mention IT LACKS of content, ALLOT. and BBS has so much more content wow. Just Look at the reviews, they make sense. Oh and BTW BBS did SO GOOD, that they are making a sequel for it for Vita, Crisis Core is dead <- Fact

@ferrjimenez Alright alright, you win. I can't argue against your logic. I bought both games, but I always liked Crisis Core better, for the story. BBS had better gameplay, i admit, and had way more replay value, but in the end, i spent 100+ hours on CC and 60+ on BBS. And as a prequel, CC answered everything that needed to be answered in FF7, where as BBS just left more questions for KH. I like CC and you like BBS, this argument is done, happy? Also Vita BBS? I am sold. Take my money already.

@gold908 Well the prequel BBS didn't leave that many questions, AND that is what Utada wants, he wants more question so those questions can follow up into new KH games like Dream Drop Distance for 3DS, that's the exact point the Game is doing. BBS Vita? when I said this was because, Utada is planning on making a Sequel for the BBS, called Birth By Sleep Volume 2 (introduced at the end of BBS Final Mix). Huge expectations and rumors is that it is heading to the PS vita, and I'm sure it will.

@gold908 And the reason why I stated Birth By Sleep Sequel on Vita, was because unlike Crisis Core, birth by sleep is at least been making follow up merchandise, like Birth By Sleep Final Mix, and Birth By Sleep 2. Unlike Crisis Core that has only had 1 game with no follow up/sequels, NOW you can't include ff7, because that came out before crisis core. But I guess it can advertise FF7 a little more, and get people to play it. But even though I love Kingdom hearts, FF is where it's at.
