I used to watch this show as a kid (but didn't care for it much without James Darren...sigh, he was the finest thang on television). Sally Field has aged well. I am a Gidget fan of both the TV show and movies. There have been 7 Gidgets in all.

Sandra Dee, Deborah Walley, Cindy Carol, Sally Field, Karen Valentine, Monie Ellis, Caryn Richman. I heard a rumor that they were considering doing a Gidget movie with Miley Cyrus as Gidget. I may be in the minority but I think Miley as Gidget would be quite interesting. Miley has this sort of wholesomeness about her. It would work as long as they set it in the 1950's or 60's.

Michael Buckley. I used to love Gidget when I was a kid, but the minisode formal kinda turns me off. I like the fact that you bring back the classics, but it would be better if we could see the whole episode to reclaim my interest.
