  • I recorded the audio of the TextEdit text onto a cassette tape using the headphone jack. And then recorded it back onto the computer using the microphone jack.

I did the TextEdit recording somewhere around 1996.

I was using a Apple PowerMac 8500/132mHz computer at the time. And a cheap cassette deck.

  • Are you asking about changing accents for the TextEdit "speaking" function?

If so.... use punctuation for pauses of varying lengths. Also spell out things phonetically.

Such as "puh-tick-youlur" for particular. Other examples:

    endde sumtiemmmm. think uhboutit.

    Instead of "what" use "whuhttt".

And so on. Mostly it is best to experiment and see what works. It changes depending on context. These worked for me, but depending on what you are doing, might not work for you.

  • wow thats a little bit weird. im guessing your not feeling all that good right now.

  • This is Ezra. He is feeling. Right now. So... this is Ezra. He is... etc.

  • hi Sean, the video does not load - at least here on my computer in germany - so I'll be back later

  • Hmm... Sorry about that.

It was about an hour or two after this clip supposedly "uploaded" before I could get it to play.

I hope you try again later!

  • Thanks for your message! Now, one day later, the video is available. I like it, though its a bit scary. And i love the experimantal and crative way you play around with video techniques. Keep on posting!

    thnx

    Regina
