Thanks for your thoughts. Lee's proposal is for a transportation-only bond election in 2010 to help fund infrastructure improvements. Austin voters could choose to approve or not approve the bond package. Lee is the only candidate in the race for mayor who has made a specific proposal to help fight traffic congestion in Austin. Let's get to work on making Koenig Lane, 15th St, and Oltorf St close to, if not full-fledged, parkways: four (4) lanes in each direction. Also, extend Stassney Lane to Loop 1. The economic and social benefits of this outweigh any NIMBY concerns.
