Im a student at eastern kentucky majoring in vocal music performance and i live in louisville i was wondering how i can get involved in a group like this
Join the Barbershop Harmony Society. The Baritone in this quartet, Gary Lewis, is the baritone for "Max Q", which won the international competition in 2007. The Elizabethtown, KY Chapter ("Kentucky Vocal Union") placed 10th in international competition in Nashville in 2008.
Damn thats gary lewis...hes a freekin legend. What an awsome voice. I love it how when gary digs deep for the tags. hes got that signature move. Very cool.
this group is amasing and i was lucky enough to have one of them for 4 years as a teacher, then had another as a director at a summer camp, and then met a third one last year when he moved back to the US
We did this song for the central states district competition, the River City Chorus

very good...
and this reminds me of a woody woodpecker cartoon for some reason...
I guess it's similar to some of the music they would use on looney tunes cartoons.

and I guess here is why:
In the 1953 Bugs Bunny cartoon Southern Fried Rabbit Bugs, disguised as Uncle Tom, sings My Old Kentucky Home in order to cross the Mason-Dixon Line.
