It's a shame that so many people feel that the Catholic Church in Ireland teaches in fear rather than mercy, and from what I hear this is true. If you dont tip your hat when you walk by the Church then youre going to hell, if you dont go to Mass every week then youre going to hell, if you leave the Church in Ireland then youre going to hell.

I am a Catholic and it is the exact opposite in the USA. Believe it or not, Dave King is a devout Catholic but he was turned away from the teaching through fear. That is what this song is about, so many people think it is anti-Catholic, but its the exact opposite, King even said so himself. Very aspiring band and they have my respect for making great music and acknowledging their Catholic heritage.
