My daughter and I saw him in concert here in Greensboro, NC several years ago. He was on a show with the late Del Shannon, The Dixie Cups, and several others. We were lucky to get front row seats. I was singing along with him and he actually looked at me and over the mic said "You're not old enough to know this song." That made me feel great since I was 8 years old when it came out originally.
wooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo this was great fun!! my feet had to hit the floor & dance my socks off! Man we did great w/the music didn't we!! No doubt we change the direction, flow, rythm, etc etc for all times. Frankie Babes...WOW YOU STILL LOOKING GOOD!! *hubba hubba* hahahahahaha! thanks for sharing this wonderful & most memorable performers video! *keeps on dancing* ooooooweee baby ooooweeeeeee
Does anyone know where he is performing? Would love to see him again. What a voice - awsome. He is some piano player. Happy Birthday Frankie. Love, Donna .
Frankie is one of the lucky ones who has kept his voice, and I think it is through a lot of hard work and constant performing. Check out my posting of him doing "Gone" from this same event. The strength of his voice just blew everyone away!
Perfect!

He probably never smoked that is why he sounds so good. God gives gifts to last a lifetime and we destroy them with bad stuff.

I love it when the original song is not changed and sounds just like the record. Great job Frankie.

@hussnfussel7
Ha, yeah, like Frankie says at the beginning, "It doesn't go something like this. It goes EXACTLY like this!"

@pa017064 Contrast him with Jerry Lee Lewis who threw caution to the wind.
Louisiana must have been a rockin' place in the '50's!
