I'm sure when I played the original RB game the original vocalist was usually muted completely - either that or I just have bad memory! I suppose in a good way it does help you keep in key a little. I suppose it's just designed to pick up the pitch and tone in order to detect how accurate you are but it would be nice to have the option to increase volume or remove original vocalist.

Yeah they have changed the mic properties since the old RB games I'm sure of it. That's with the artist's vocals completely off apparently, the mic volume really high and my boyfriend singing really loud but still it's not as loud as we wanted. Might have to switch to recording with a camera up to the screen but the in game ones look more professional. Speaking of Billie Joe... He is a generous guy!

Anyways this was taken straight through a rock band mic with no post editing so no reverb no autotune. So yeah he's a damn hot vocalist and also has no problems with rapping.
