baybeedid. What a coincidence my mum also called me Gillian after watching this movie whilst pregnant too!!!!.....The only problem is i have a penis......GGGGGgggrrrr.....i hate my girlie name.
i was named gillian, after amy irvings character. my mom was pregnant with me when she watched this movie and she loved the name so much, that she named me Gillian. I actually love my name.
I have special powers some people would call it a gift ,i can turn beer into piss.....personally speaking i think it's a curse....and it smells and tastes awful.!!!!
I think the creepiest scene is the one where he makes that lady spin around super fast and blood seems too fly out of every part of her onto the walls. Then they show her dead and her eyes are totally bugged out. CREEPY
That scene disturbed me, too, when I saw this in the movie theater with my parents. I was like 4 years old and we were in a double feature (Ahh. Remeber those days?). This scene and also the final "explosive" scene really shocked and disturbed me. lol Was this Cassavetes last film that he acted in?
"The Fury" is one of my all-time favorites. Loads of fun. I never understood why it wasn't a blockbuster hit back in 1978. It did moderate business (made between $20-$25 million in the U.S. in 1978 dollars), but it should have done three times that.
Lots of great things about this wildly ambitious, but uneven film. The great: Kirk, Irving, and Cassevetes. The music. The effects. And perfect over-the-top ending (Revenge for Kirk).
Terrifying and brilliant suspense shocker from 1978. Compelling story, impressive special effects, powerful performances(especially Douglas and Irving), and one of the most explosive endings in movie history. A guilty pleasure classic. Thank you for this trailer posting paikov! Film Rating: ***1/2 out of **** stars.
I love this movie it came out when I was 3 years old this is the 1rst movie I have a recollection of seeing I remember going to the drive in with my family to see it and never forgot it
Its not, this movie was bloody as ever. The only thing lame was the old 1960's 70's "wooooooooo, wooooooo" instrument effect, but that scene with the blood shooting out the lady's when the other lady used her powers was yucky and shocking and gross! Then there's the spin the lady make blood drip out the vagina scene!
An entertaining and thought provoking movie with brilliantly directed set-pieces by Brian DePalma .A stunning music score by John Williams .Over due for a damn good remake .And with an ending that'll blow your mind .Thanks paikov.
Great music of John Williams.

This was Brian Depalma's answer to "Carrie". It was ok; the best part is when the guy blows up at the end.
boardskins 2 years ago
hahah this guy, depalma directed both dumbass
mconionhead 2 years ago
Sure did, but "The Fury" was written as a screenplay specifically for DePalma to direct, where as we all know who wrote "Carrie", dipshit.
boardskins 2 years ago
@boardskins
"The Fury" was originally based on a novel by John Farris.

One of the juiciest scenes is where Andrew Steven's character Robin makes the woman spin round and round in the air really hard. So bizarre.

They should spend less time jumping out windows and instead use their superpowers to make all the pretty women naked.

I can't believe they're remaking this film...
DANATANLOVER 3 years ago
It'll probably be ruined by less convincing CGI, the physical effects stand up very well.
harnois75 3 years ago
That depends if the CGI is used to express the film and not to show off what the artists can do. The ones that express the film are never ruined!
