  • I am an American but I speak 16 languages. Astrid Lindgren´s PIPPI can be spoken in what ever language, Shel still Be PIPPI

  • Jag har aldrig vetat att Maria var en Dam "Hund" som Bitch betyder på riktig Engelska. Lär dig språket först innan du använder vokabulär du inte kann tålka

  • Fantastisk att se dom tillsammans äfter alla dom här åren.

  • maria persson became one ugly bitch.

  • Wonderful to see them all REGARDLESS of the languages used for the interview!!! It's sad to see the negative things said about people who gave us a lot of wonderful memories. Not one of us has escaped from getting older or heavier since those movies were made. I'm so grateful to have seen Pippi, Tommy an Anika again, thanks for te laughter!!!

  • whats the name of the song in the beginning when Inger comes out on the stage? I cant figure it out!

  • @JmwBila The song's name is "Da ya think I'm sexy" As far as I know, it was originally sung by Rod Stewart. But I'm not sure if a cover version is used here

  • Glad she's grown up. too bad she was NOT an attractive child.. :(

    d

  • pippi <3

  • i hate dubbing to, learn to talk english

  • Why bin I talking net Deutsch in the Kommenentar of an deutsches Video?

Jag älskar Inger et Madame Lindgren beaucoup.De glimlach van Frau Nielson is fantastic beautiful faszinierend.

  • Why is Ingrid speaking English and the host speaking some other language?

  • @organicjuice They don´t speak English and she doesn´t speak German.

  • Pippi looks great and so does Tommy. Anika looks awful.too fat

  • que bello

  • Waooooooo Much Time.Love Pipi,Anica and Tommy

    live for ever Pippi Longstocking

  • Those comments are tl;dr. Damned Germans, use subtitles and maybe you'll learn how to speak a second language.

  • I'm swedish, fun to see the actors as grown up, but I don't understand why they not set subtitles in stead, for in this case in german, for what she is saying in english...? In Sweden they are never talking over like here, they are always setting in subtitles... I can't understand a thing of what they are saying now :S

  • I think it's rude to dub people in interviews. If it has to be in German why not do the interview in a language that the person being interviewed understands and is able to speak and then the host can tell the audience what the person has said. Besides, if a movie is dubbed how on earth can one make a judgement on the actors' acting skills when you cannot hear them deliver the lines! Whatever the excuses for dubbing are it's just about being too lazy to read subtitles.

  • Lucky for me: I speak German, YAY!!!!

    hahaaa, losers!

ich kanns halt, und ihr nicht, verlierer

  • Cool stuff but so spooky! I just see a beautiful woman when I look at Inger and then you see her eyes and it's like the child/ Pippi is trapped in the body of an older woman :)

  • It seems like Maria Parsons wasn't so happy to see Inger. I read an article where Par Sundberg and Maria Parssons said that she was standoffish as a child, and got them in trouble frequently. That was a bizarre way to respond to someone that you spent years with and hadn't seen in decades.

  • Fuck you, top comments! I'm swedish and i hate dubbing. The only thing in Sweden that's being dubbed is tv shows for kids.

  • @astamp3 I wonder if they dub it for the studio audience as well - then they probably try to save the costs for subbing if they already had to dub it anyway. Dubbing is big in many countries, Sweden is a great exception. I wish they'd stop to, but then again it gives a lot of people jobs... And look at America, there they would probably have to reenact the whole thing...

  • Aw I loved this show when I was little- thanks so much for this vid! :-)

  • "Every country overdubs" - No... It's just Germany, Spain, French and those shitcountrys who's doing that, because they are stuck in the 70's... Just look at this fucking show, don't you know its the 21 century now?

The last time Sweden had a overdubed show was in the 80's.

  • @BonIverGson that is false. Most countries with the exception of the scandinavian dubs foreign spoken TV, United Kingdom and USA dont do it as much for obvious reasons. The reason for it dates back to the early days of TV where it was very expensive to dub TV shows and smal countries like Denmark and Sweden just simply could not afford it. That is why we today watch TV with subtitles.

  • @fritzov So you think countrys like; Bosnia, Spain, Greece, Rumania, Moldovia, Ukraine and so on ever have had more money than Sweden..? Are u serious?

  • @BonIverGson i hope you know that it is more than 50 years ago TV was introduced to large parts of the world. Moldavia Ukraine was part of the Soviet union where TV was not used for entertainment, same thing in Romania and Bosnia was part of communist Yugoslavia. And it is pretty obvious not many foreign, especially american programs where shown in these countries. And when they finally did the cost of dubbing was completely different than the early days of TV.

  • That is a "dinosaur" from when there was a wote on witch language should be International. The Germans and French lost, and they have been wining about it ever since. I have been to both Germany and France, and they either wont or speak very poorly Inglish because of this "dinosaur".

    Germans dub everything for spite.

  • jobbigt att dom dubbat till tyska -.-

  • 1:16 scary picture

  • just hate german language, it sounds awful... english language is the world language indeed and it shouldn't be different, it's so easy to communicate wherever you go on this planet, expect France of course.

  • Ich kann ja auch Deutsch aber why do they have to shout the translation on top of poor Pippi. Halt's Maul! Ich kan bloss doch aber hey fuck you not hear PIPPI!!!

  • they are from sweden, so they can't speak german, so they speak english, understand? :)

  • PIPPI WAS THE BEST EVER!! DUBBED OR NOT! ENOUGH SAID!

  • This is so cool! I love Pippi and seeing all them as adults is wonderful! Inger still has her great big smile. Thanks for posting this one.

  • Have you heard of the word diversity? I'm not one of those people who say that they are proud of their country, but I really love German as a language itself. There are so many things that I only can say in German - not due to a lack of knowlege of the english language, but because it is a saying e.g. I'm sure, same goes for swedish

And I'm not sure if the swedish population over let's say 65 or 70 is that fluent in english... My grandma is 86 and likes to watch stuff that she understands!

  • lol @CanalFredelico

Did you know that there are more people in the world whose native language is Spanish than people whose native language is English?

  • @ fairdo62: don't be so egoistic and narcistic, we germans don't need to speak english! our german is a much more beautiful language! go away american douchebag! ;)

  • @shairaptor lol, more beautiful than Shakespeare? You must be very uneducated.

  • @Bregowald of course. we germans have much more culture than you americans. go away douche.

  • @shairaptor I'm not an American, I am Dutch, you idiot. But English culture is better than German, even I know that

  • @Bregowald of course not. europe and german culture is 10x times better than american. and dutches are douchbags and fuckheads with no culture, everyone knows that.

  • @Bregowald fuck dutch ppl i fuck ya in the ass you fucking asshole you friggin stupid pisshead douchbag idiot fuck YOU!

  • @Bregowald Are you a troll or just fucking retarded?

  • @Bregowald Don't feed the troll people. We all know he's talking shit.

  • @ bergo wald and read frsatubes comment. that puts yours to shame, he is 100% correct!

  • She looks great and looks like Susan Sarandon and of course she has a very charismatic smile. The one and only Pippi Långstrump herself. But where are Herr Nilsson and lilla Gubben. Did Annika eat them? Ok, bad joke...

  • She's looks great and looks like Susan Sarandon and of course she has a very charismatic smile. The one and only Pippi Långstrump herself. But where are Herr Nilsson and lilla Gubben. Did Annika eat them? Ok, bad joke...

  • I didn't know Bruce Vilanch was the original Anika.

  • ever heard of subtitles? -.-

  • Maria Persson sieht Miriam Boes änlich??

  • Why does she speak english and not sweden??

  • @pop96Life it´s a german tv-show.. :)

  • @RightWereIAm Yes,I know.But.why doesn't Inger Nillson speak sweden?Does she speak english,too?

  • @pop96Life Well, in Sweden almost every people speak both English and Swedish. And it's probably easier for the Germans to understand her if she speaks English. The TV-host must be able to understand her if he's going to inteview her :)

  • @pop96Life probably couse it's more likely that they will understand her in english.

  • Inger Nilsson 4 ever

  • ich habe tomi erkannt! aber anika voll nicht!

  • still loved Pippi some real good shows

  • How many germans know english?

  • @bagheera79 the whole young generation speaks english fluently.

  • 9 people don't use Rosetta Stone.

  • True, we Americans only speak english because the Canadians speak it and who wants to live in Mexico? In Europe, walk two steps and you're in one country, turn to the left and you're in two others. There, you must know more than one language to survive. Multiple languages for you all are as easy as winning wars is for us. It's all relative. Sorry if that's mean, but is it true? I'm a moderate, more than a patriot, but we're having this chat via USA technology. We all need a middle ground.

  • Did you know German is the most spoken first language of the EU? About every single Germans I know can speak perfect English and know French! Americans on their side can only speak English and the only foreign sentence they can say is "Una cerveza por favor" and are pretty terrible at pronouncing it properly. My point is that English is not the only language that exists on the planet so don't be surprised if a German TV show dubs what is not German into German.

  • @frsatube english is the only way for people in different countries to communicate so you have to be able to speak and understand english , and btw when i was in germany nobody i met could or wanted to speak english.

  • Pippi was the first Punk rocker on earth >:]

  • YAHhateKlapper...which means HOLT SHIT!...YAH

  • Can somebody put English subtitles on this video for the English viewers like me of youtube can understand and appreciate Pippi!! thanks!!

  • Man! I sure wish I could understand what she's saying. This was my all time favorite show as a kid in the US. We never had any powerful girl super heros or role models and she always made my firends and I feel like girls could do anything and probably better lol! Thats important for little girls growing up: )

  • Wow, I was a big fan of Pippi Longstocking when I was a youngboy. I would really appreciate if someone add English translation to this video clip....

  • Eh germans are so lazy... Learn english!

  • Why isn't it in English?

I like this video. Pär doesn'n look like as Tommy anymore and Maria doesn't look like as Annika. Inger has still the same face as befor.

  • I loved Pippi when I was little, such happy, fun movies to watch. What a sweet woman, she still has that 'little Pippi' smile :) I didn't reconize Annika at all but the Tommy guy aged very well :P

  • it's sad, i can still totally tell its them!

  • What the heck are those customs the tv guys are wearing???!!!

  • Tommy is the one who looks younger.

  • f@ckin anaka

  • so cute, when inger smiles she looks just like pippi

  • I love you pipi

  • I don't understand this argument!

Every country overdubs foreign people into its language, of course. I don't understand why you insult one another...

It's true English is one of the most spoken languages, so what? I am Spanish, and I don't think all the vids on youtube should be translated into Spanish... I just try to learn English, French and German to understand them.

    Let's be respectful.

  • @CanalFredelico You are wrong, the Nordic country's (Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway) doesn't overdubs. We use subtitles instead, much better.

  • @Ressenatior True.. that's much better ^^

  • @CanalFredelico Some country's don't use dubbing at all. Dutch TV channels, for example, prefer to use subtitles instead.

  • @SimonBak90 Tthat's even better.

  • @CanalFredelico Agree

  • @SimonBak90 it was 1960s and 70s

  • @CanalFredelico No, every country doesnt overdub into their own language. That's just dumb, and looks / sounds like shit.

  • @sh4zbot Hey, take it easy.

  • Ese Oscar ai 6:45 el oscar es un fiera es amigo mio y es un fiera pero su madre me tiene mania xD

  • I feel so happy i saw "Pippy" again!!What a sweet lady!

  • In all the countries they use overdubbing, people fail at English..

  • I agree with jaws.....not everyone in the world speaks Only English...and what I like about Europeans is that learning more than one, two, three, four etc..languages is second nature to them....I am jeluz....and I am from the states speak only two.

  • Go figure...Americans think they can Police the world...well, try again or learn how to speak German assholes !!...Go and watch Flipper or something !!

  • Don't like the way we do things in Germany !!???? Well.......don't watch !!

  • Mrmynameismine and everyone else..This IS a German TV show.....you don't like the way we do things ....!!?? Well, go fuck yourselfs !!! You DON'T have 2 watch it, you know !!

  • Too bad you cant hear their answers because of the german voice : ( Well I wish I knew some german!!

  • It is a german program so they translate to german maruns. Why would they translate to english ? You are so narcistic that you think that the whole world has to speak english? How about you learning another language ,like the all Europe does !!!!!

  • @jawsfan24 Germans are the only ones in the western world who dub every fucking thing on television. Germans don't even know the real voices of any actor because there's always a German voice actor talking through it. Everything on German television sounds like a fucking Tell-Sell commercial.

  • @jawsfan24 no its just becuz german people are to fucked to speak english or read it, just like french people

  • @jawsfan24 English is a internationall language and easy to learn, its nothing wrong about it, thats why it should be on english, becouse the rest of the world maby want to know what she sais.

  • @zhred YouTube allows us to add subtitles, though.. anyone care to do this? :)

  • @bjeah okey it is just irritating that some people dont want to learn english just becouse they dont like fore example USA. English is anawesome language and easy to learn, and also sounds cool and nice. i live in sweden, we learn english in school from the beginning.

  • @zhred it's a german show and so it should be in german like it is! If you want it in english, watch stuff that IS in english!

Just because english is that easy to learn, it doesn't mean that everything needs to be in english and that every single person needs to know that language! I speak german, english, french, spanish and I learned latin in school too. Go and broaden your horizon! Erweitere deinen Horizont - wenn überhaupt möglich!

And the word is because not "becouse"!

  • @hoershey you are right that it should be translate to german if its a german show, maby... but in sweden we doesnt have to do it like that becouse we know alomst everyone can understand english. Why learn so many languages when we can use one that works perfectly ? :)

  • @jawsfan24 so ridiculous to compare english with german! the whole world must speak english as a second language, what else?

  • @MrSomeDouchebag Yeah It would help! If there were subtitles, I wouldn't hear the annoying voiceover thing and I would hear what they said in English. Those people who don't understand english can read the subtitles. And If they can't read, then thats a good way to learn how to read!

  • @jawsfan24 why do they need to translate an english speaking person? can't they just add subtitles with german translation?!

  • @jawsfan24 Narcistic? So Inger is also narcistic, because she talks English???

I think, that it has nothing to do with it. This sounds horrible. The German even do it with movies etc.

"I'll be back" (terminator) becomes "Ich bin bald wieder zurück ja".

Tell me, why are YOU speaking English????

  • @melkiemelkie FYI, this is a live show; nothing is "dubbed" except the original series, which was dubbed in both production languages. I think you don't quite get the situation -- they speak English and a simultaneous translator is translating into German as they speak. If you can find someone who can do simultaneous subtitling, I'm sure people would love to pay him/her enormous amounts of money. Good luck with that.

  • @womanofnoimportance Offcourse i understand the situation. And what i also do understand is that the German people don't speak any language. That's why they do this.

  • @melkiemelkie erm. no.

  • @melkiemelkie LOL German people speak foreign languages.

  • @jawsfan24 If this had german subtitles we could learn some german! In sweden we learn english, german, french and spanish in the school, the last three languages you could choose your favorite. Besides that, there are many other languages we can learn at adult school like japanese, russian and italian. I think it's good for children to have dubbed tv, but grown ups should have to learn to follow subtitles. And it's the same for americans, they should also learn to read english subtitles

  • @jawsfan24 LOL SO VERY TRUE

  • @jawsfan24 Que? Que? No conosco... hablan en espanol estupido. Nosotros hablan en ingles para que es la lingua del mundo. Who speak the German but Germans? Everyone speak English.

  • @jawsfan24 Well if the whole planet must learn a lenguage english is the easiest.

  • @jawsfan24 No

  • It IS cool! I would have liked to hear what she was saying though, underneath the loud German woman.

  • someone had too many bon bons and sugary treats...

  • jesus the translator doesn't help it's freaking me out!

  • astridlindgrenstjarnor.blogg.se

  • So, does Inger understand German and just not speak it?

  • She's a Swedish actress.

  • whoa! so you're that little freckle faced girl with pigtails everybody used to make fun of? Man alive, did you ever improve!!

  • Annika turned out obese.

  • can someone dub the dubber ??

  • Comment removed

  • 3:22 "wash my damn pee pee" 3:24 "quit sucking on dick"

  • @Trainzvideo That was hilarious!! xD

  • I thought I heard somewhere that she died? Probably someone else then...

  • Inger Nilsson turned out great!

  • Annika did not mature quite nicely

  • oh, i wish so badly i could understand this better. i love you, inger. Has she been of Ellen yet?

  • why's that one guy dressed like barney.

  • @nintendaholic90 it's a woman. and she's always dressed in an... extraordinary way... :)

  • omg i would love to watch this on rainy days, i want to find all the episodes. thanks for posting.

  • Does anyone know if there's a video of this available without the dub or with subtitles??? I wanna see this but I don't speak German :(

  • that show host looks like Kyle Gass

  • Pippi Longstocking was the best, she was very independent and was fun as well. You can get the original films on DVD now and they are fully restored and in widescreen.I got them on ebay. She was so awesome. The dvd's are in a box set.

  • wwaahh . Who the fuck is overdubbing. SUBTITLES RULES. Someone need to tell them germans to use subtitles.

  • @krollaostmedburger It would be the first time for them :p but yeah I tottaly agree

  • @krollaostmedburger That was live translation , not "overdubbing". Why the hell should they interpreter type subs in a german tv show?

  • @krollaostmedburger No they should tell them to learn english :D

  • @chilipizza I still prefer subtitles it's easier for me to read than listen

  • @chilipizza They should learn to use subtitles....

  • @krollaostmedburger This a live broadcast - so how should they do subtitles?

  • @frerki it is possible. But it would be better without overdubbing anyway

  • @krollaostmedburger How should that be possible? They invite people to a show and don't know what they will say! I don't think that anyone is able to type a correct translation so quickly!

  • @frerki They've done it alot in norway. It works, just not so good but it does work

  • @krollaostmedburger STUPID AMERIFAG

  • @pochidomil im not fucking american!!!!!
