have you had any trouble with it getting sloppy after a few runs? im lookin to gettin a truggy and ive narrowed it down to an rc8t or an 8ight t 2.0 ive been runnin a revo inthe truggy class and fairing well but its still outclassed.
@mambacx No, I've been quite lucky with my 8T 2.0. I did a complete rebuild this winter but aside from some normal issues, I've not felt the truck was getting prematurely worn out. I think it did great given how often I raced it last year.
Our races this year have been 12 mins long. I have no trouble making 12 mins with my 4500, 5000 and 6000 Enerland Packs. I run the 4500's in my buggy. If we ran longer than 15 mins, I'd be in trouble.
Sure, my Truggy has a Castle Mamba Monster with a Tekno Neu 1515/1y (2200KV) and I use 4s Enerland 5000 or 6000 25/30c lipos. The conversion is the Losi kit. Braking is just ESC/motor...
Could you post your BL setup and the conversion kit you used? I'm especially interested in how you setup braking...mechanical or straight ESC-controlled.
The Truggy has an RC Monster Motor mount, the Buggy is using the stock Losi mount.

JR 9000T in the truggy and an Airtronics 358 (I think) in the buggy.

Do you have to change battery packs in a long race? Does'nt that take way longer than fueling a nitro truggy?
