  • Poor fish...

  • Cute little jap

  • i have that tank

though now I transferred my betta to a 10 gallon and only use it when I clean my tank

  • ten

  • i love those fishiezz!!!!

  • please get him a 5 gallon

  • PEACE FROM CHINA 0:03

  • I think Francis is sick of your tapping and wants to be left alone to die

  • Booooringgg

  • buy a bigger tank kid, dont fuck with the fish

  • @TheIleekata why dont you buy him a bigger tank. or just fuck off. leave him alone man. bettas dont need a massive tank. he was trying to get the fish to move around in the video w.e cry about it some more. he will be waiting on the bigger tank you will be sending him because you want to see the fish in a bigger tank.

  • dont tap u idiot

  • Why do people teach kids how to post videos on YouTube?

  • @Kenshinsgirl18 deep down it could be a modern new technological learning experience for our younger generations growing up in todays world.... or maybe you could have just chosen another video and take your skim queries to the kitchen and cook me a mean feed ^_^

  • Surviving is not living.

  • @SageZane560 actually douche the betta is really fucking healthy and fine. They do best in small aquariums doucher

  • @Fire23eater Do you even know what a douche is? Anyways, on-topic; Yes. I agree that the betta is healthy, but if you did any research before acting like a fucking adult you would know that the recommended tank size for bettas are 2 to 30 gallons (depending if you are going to make a community tank) 2 gallons is enough for the betta to explore and live a happy life, 30 gallons is more than enough, but bettas can get disorientated and lost in larger tanks. -Character limit-

  • @Fire23eater -Following my first reply- Francis here, is in an extremely shitty environment plus the so called "aquarium" is no where near 2 gallons. Think of it this way, by your logic, I can stick you into a room with food and water and all the basic needs for life, and you'll be happy? Do some fucking research kid, and if you don't believe me I can send you a certificate of aquatic life biodiversity diploma anytime.

  • Will you people be quiet and give the kid some credit? He has the fish in the exact tank i keep my betta in... only his fish is a veil tail and mines a halfmoon... my tank is red-ish his is green. Cute betta

  • bettas and goldfish are the best beginner fish easy to care for don't need a big tank or nothing

  • siamese fighting fish

  • Ohhhh Francis! that's such a great name!!!! :D i love it!

  • fuck u and your hatemessages to my friend u said:fuck u little cunt of a duche bag!!!

  • Wow. When I got a beta fish, all I knew about it was it's color xD They didn't tell me anything about it. I just bought it.

  • cant believe it! the kid has 35,000 views!! crazzzyyy!! good job kid

  • @bayoteugene9 I KNOW RIGHT!!! Few hundred a day! Thanks

  • Everyone can just be quiet honestly who thinks that he is doing a bad job on keeping the fish healthy....i have my betta fish in a bowl and he has been living fine for about a year, and try telling me im doing a bad job at keeping him healthy, i have a 100 gallon saltwater tank, and one 55 gallon freshwater tank im pretty sure i know everything about these sorts of fish, and no you do not need a bubbler for him like most people are saying, i dont use bubblers for my tanks either

  • The extra space and stuff is nice but not necessary for a Beta to survive and be perfectly healthy and happy.

  • He is perfectly fine in that tank. When you change out his water, leave a little of the old water in the tank so you dont shock his system when you change it out.

I am reading the STUPIDEST comments here. Dont put him with other fish, he doesn't NEED a larger tank (though I prefer a hefty fish bowl to these smaller plastic tanks). My only advise with this is your better off using fabric plants just in case he was to ever catch his lovely fins on a sharper object.

Source: I work in this field.

  • jajajajaja stupid child

  • hey chuckie chan when are u going to know how to take care of a betta fish!?!?!?

  • Omg your so cool a Chinese dude with a beta fish

  • idiot murder

  • If your keeping them in a small tank like that make sure you do water changes ATLEAST weekly! That way your water doesn't get cloudy like it is now!

  • that fish looks very happy

  • I love it! I am not much on using gravel as a substrate, but the lime green coloration blends very well with the bettas colors.

That betta is just fine in that sized tank. As long as you keep the water clean, and the fish eating on a varied diet, your betta should live for many years.

Good job on the tank, and choosing such a beautiful fish.

  • i think its just fine

  • siamese not japenise

  • i used to have a japanese fighting fish =D it lived for 3 years!

  • :/ need a bigger tank.

  • You sound like a horse dying, holy shit. and just to tell you the fish hates you!

  • wheres your calculator?

  • Ur a bad chink don't tap on the glass or I'll tap on ur glasses

  • i have that fish to :)

  • I have the same tank!!!! But you should stop tapping on it...I'm not hating on you or anything, but tapping kinda freaks out the fish and makes him stay still...So just show him something brightly colored and he'll start being more active!

  • Comment removed

  • lucky!!!! i only have a goldfish:( and one i got before died so the one i have now is my 2nd one:) i also have a parekeet....

  • omg 1:08 - 1:14

Betta don't do much!!Even when that tank is moving or your taping the glass. I just got a betta, and hes doing allot more then yours is, and I don't ever tap the glass or shake the tank.( his name is Tetris, he is smoky pearl colour with blue and purple.

The betta would live happier with a bigger tank, and a filter, but as long as you care for him well and keep the tank clean you have a nice fish!

  • Betta fish are from Cambodia and Thailand :P

  • Quite honestly, you take better care of your betta than a lot of people's setups I've seen (some people stuff them in a jar and call it good, yours actually has some room to swim). Of course a 5+ gallon tank with heating and filtration is ideal, BUT! Your betta looks healthy, and you seem to care a lot about it. Keep it up.

  • Do something, Francis do something! DO SOMETHING!!!... bad francis :\

  • the fish will do something if it see`s it`s reflection.

  • I think you should put him in a 10 gallon tank. I'll send you my old 10 gallon for like $5.00 in shipping fees... unless you live in Minnesota or North Dakota. Then I'll give it to you for free. If you want.

  • umm nobody cares

  • @molly10ish IF U DIDNT CARE WHY DID YOU WATCH?

  • gay

  • wow you really need a ten gallon and those cost around $40 :) my goldfish is happy

  • hi u should really not tap on the glass because its like a tsunami for the fish and as astilaroth said get a big tank

  • first of all, it SIAMESE fighting fish. not japenese fighting fish. second, you need a bigger tank.bettas are just as much a fish as any other so need a filter and clean water. if you dont have a filter, you would have to do daily or every other daily water changes and that is too stressful for the fish. last, stop shaking him around! you obviously know nothing about the needs or care of your fish. i own bettas so dont say i dont know what im talking about.

  • All fish need filters... Disliked, although I liked the fish

  • i love the fish but the tank would be better if it was a little bigger.

  • i dont think it speaks english.

  • wtf do you expect him to do? jump through a ring of fire?! hahahahha

  • Not to be mean, but I hate the way you treat that poor betta fish. Please don't tap on the glass, and don't shake and move the tank so much.

  • i have that fish

  • what a bunch of idiots, siames fighting fish dont need a pump nor artifical lighting, nor a big tank. Congrat the kid not put him down. That fish is very healthy, living in a nice size bowl instead of a 1/2 cup of water in a sealed container. BTW thats how you buy them in local shopping stores like walmart or kmart of freds or what ever your big department store is named. Grab a book on bettas and read up b4 you comment.

  • @curghost OMG thank you so much I thought that only haters watched this video! :P

  • @curghost Learn the nitrogen cycle, and no. Sadly the aquarium hobby is rife with idiots such as yourself.

  • @curghost Well, they should at least have a small filter to keep the tank clean. And if you live in an area where the temperature is not stable, then a heater is necessary. What I say is that one beta should not have a tank smaller than three gallons, but I'm not trying to be a hater. And this container is perfectly fine as long as he keeps up on the cleaning.

  • @Pop12646Okami Here is where i agree with you, as long as the tank stays clean it will be a happy and healther fish. As far as the three gallons go, it depends on what you want from your own fish. With as many breeders there are today on bettas, there is a lot of experiment going on. I know of one guy who has full mature mini bettas (hard to find and way to expensive imo) as well as mixing different breeds and different colors.

  • @curghost Its not because you got it in a little cup of water in a store that means thats the way to take care of betta. Do you think they will buy a big aquarium for each betta? I had a betta in a community tank and he looked way healthier and happy.

  • @SAngelSky I am not disagreeing with you, if you read my post, i said the tank was a nice size bowl, i raise and sell bettas as a hobby, none of mine are still in a cup but in seperate tanks.

  • @curghost Bettas can SURVIVE in very little water, but they will not be to their full potential. Bettas should be kept in tanks no smaller than 2.5 gallons. The rule of thumb is for every inch of fish, you need a gallon of water. Just because a fish isn't discolored, etc, doesn't mean that it is healthy and/or happy. I will agree this is much better than the cup they're shipped in, but he will THRIVE in a larger tank.

  • @nabassunta This true what you say, and aas to the rule of thumb, people have there own opinon on how much water is needed. That goldfish bowl is big enough for what is needed, and as long as clone is happy with the size and he keeps the fish healthy, why would ppl put him down? almost everyones mindset thinks a BIGGERAND BETTER tank looks coo, and it does, but in a bedroom on a shelf or table? think about it and watch the video again. He loves his fish, even named it,

  • @nabassunta How many ppl do that, they just buy a big tank, fish, put it all together in a spot to show company, maybe take care of it and so forth. I've walked into all kinds of ppl's houses to see their fish tanks, green thick walls with dying fish, some of the most poorest kids take better care of their fish than some of those who have the money to do so. clone is very happy with his fish so much so he put him on youtube, i think that the fact he shared that with us is great.

  • @curghost I am in no way putting this kid down! I'm simply sharing some valuable knowledge! Some people with large tanks don't take care of their fish; you're absolutely correct. LOTS of people with small tanks don't take care of their fish either. I love fish, and I don't just have mine to show off to people. They're actually in my bedroom for MY enjoyment and no one else. I said nothing about getting a larger tank because it "looks cool." That's the wrong reason to get a fish tank.

  • @curghost I have my Betta in a 5 gallon tank, and he is very happy, very active, and has grown SO much compared to how cramped he was in the cup I purchased him in. I also have 2 ten gallon tanks with healthy, happy fish. I also have 2 one gallon tanks for my newer additions. I have 2 baby Bettas, each with their own one gallon tank, and I'll move them when they get bigger.

  • @curghost In conclusion, I wasn't trying to put this kid down. I want to educate him. Maybe he will be able to get his little fish friend a new tank soon where he will have a little bit more room. Also, how much water a fish needs isn't an opinion for people for value their fish and treat them like a real pet. It's simply a fact.

  • @curghost Please don't say "grab a book on bettas" when you clearly haven't 'grabbed' one. Forget the book even, just google what type of container is best for a betta fish and you'll find most responses reading AT LEAST a 5 gallon tank. And yea a child has a healthy fish, big surprise I bet he's had it a week. Just because they can live in a bowl or small container doesn't mean they should. Oh, And the next time you "Grab a book" - read it. You might learn something.

  • @curghost They don't really need it, true, but its still a lot better to have those nice things if you can. I personally say never to keep a betta in anything less than a gallon if its a pet, and try to go bigger if you can. I actually give props to Marina for this model of Betta kit, its only .5 gallons but they made the tank longer and wider than it is high which maximizes swimming space, which is great, and its the only kit thats not a shitty tiny cup. Should be bigger but still not bad.

  • omg kid ur so cool. i bet u have lots of fiends.

  • poor fish!!! even bettas deserve a large aquarium!!!

  • Siamese fighting fish

  • IDIOT!! Where's the pump? Where's the light? What do you feed him? Get a bigger tank! Don't shake the „tank"! Get some hiding places for him!

  • hey im azn and u look like my next door neighbor lol...no hard feelings

  • This is just cruelty to keep fish in such a small "tank"

  • @Tepadj DUDE they're not supposed to be in a big tank.

  • @Clawface1000 Betta splendens needs at least 40l aquarium...

  • @Tepadj sorry I was thinkig about baby fish LOL and u are right. good thing I have 60 gallon tank! even though I have goldfish. >.>

  • mine was only £18 or $28.25

  • i have that tank but the large one and blue in england from pets at home lol i am keeping bettas in mine cuz it is a 5 gallon and i can fit shrimp in as well but you are an awsome pet keeper cuz ive seen so many people keeping them in jars and tubs

  • @Joeink100 is it the one with a cartoon background? or a shark on the other side?

  • Buy him a bigger tank for the holidays!!! He looks soooooo sad! I got my 5 gallon from walmart for $28. I'm sure he would appreciate it!!!

  • made in china jus like u!

  • Siamese fighting fish, genious.

  • My Dad's Name For a Betta.... Cool

  • I have a fish named Edwin.

For the holidays you can ask for a nicer tank for Francis.

There are 5 gallon ones at Walmart for about 25 bucks.

    Good luck.

  • those fish are ment to have heaters, dumbass.

  • ha ha its asian just like you :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • I would recomend to put a light on top, I have the same tank in purple. and a small statue on the right.

  • not a tank, that's a tub.

  • you have a verry beautifull fish there!

  • ching chong ching ching chong

  • i clicked dislike. sorry but i think you should get a bigger tank at least one gallon. and you should stop tapping the bowl

  • I clicked dislike, I'm sorry it's not your fault, your parents should have made sure that animal welfare was being taken into consideration. You however, can use the comments here to make the life of your lovely fish a lot better... get a bigger tank for starters. You can find all the information you need here on the internet. You do seem to care a lot about your fish so I hope you will do what is best for the fishy! Take care!

  • @astilaroth he doesn't need to change anything about his cage, bettas do not require much room, or many artificial rocks or anything really, they just need food, and water, very easy creatures to care for :)

  • @astilaroth These fish only need a small tank though...

  • This tank is too small.

    Where is the filter?

    Where is the heater?

  • stupid kid

  • you should...NEVER tap a tank it send shock waves through the water which can cause your fish to have a heart attack also there should be a filter in there or it could die, it also needs a bigger aqarium

  • hi,

i have a tips for you, betta need a bigger acquarium, with filter system and heater! In this way this fish is gonna die really soon...listen to me,fish are not toy's ,it's like put a dog in a tiny box with some hole on the top of and sometime go there to tapping the box,and this for the rest of it's life...

  • Poor poor poor fish Asians eat dogs eat and torcher fish

  • @airsoftpro251 i hope you will kill in crash

  • Little asz kids growing up wil be harder

  • Wow my catfish would eat that thing as an appetizer the aquarium would main course

    That's a pathetic fish

  • wen u hav this much dislikes kid that means u hav done sumthin wrong. pleez for the sake of the fish buy a 12$ 10 gallon tank for it to be happpy in and then update us on ur new tank pleez? i cant begg u enough to do this.

  • ur such a fucking asshole to that fish! if u were my kid i wud slap u! and fyi its known as the fucking cambodian fighting fish or the siamese fighting fish cuz there native to those regions! not japanese!!!! uuugghh i bet that bettas like "pleez kill me already!"

  • This kid is awesome. You go kid.

  • Oh man thats a small tank. please get a bigger tank that's more of a home for a beta fish. though betta's can live in very small amount's of water thats still not good for him. people make Bettas more of a art piece than a living thing. Still not the worst I've seen

  • i want that betta to meet my oscar...

  • I love that you know he is a veiltail... not many people know what it is for tail type :)

And people, it IS a Siamese Fighting Fish. they originated in Thailand, not Japan lmao...

Also boy, he doesn't react too much only because he doesn't have a heater... I have really active bettas :) but they have 2 or more gallons that is heated for these tropical fishies.

  • Stop tapping, it severely stresses it. Also, it's a tiny tank :( poor thing has no space!

  • stop tapping plz kay

  • nice man :D

  • use live plants

  • 01:55 it a hungry fish?

    Maybe u rarely feed it

  • 01:55

  • The irony in this is that Saint Francis is the patron saint of eterinarians, animal-lovers, and animals.

  • Do u eat dogs ?

  • that fish is doomed

  • Heres a few notes:

It's pronounced Beh-tah, not betta. You also shouldn't annoy your fish, and get it a proper filter. You should also get a bigger tank, his is very small. AND STOP POKING HIM. >:(

  • @RedroxxaneROX Yes it is prounced like that.

  • He is awesome :D

  • Ok, it's not a japanese fighting fish! Its a siamese fighting fish! Well I guess it doesn't really matter what you call it? And why would you tap the tank? Now that is just mean!!! Don't tell that fish he is bad because you are the one who is bad! That betta should be in a 2 gallon tank or bigger with a heater and filter!!! You are being a bad fish owner! Shame on you! Bad fish owner!!!

  • @kedatr Well your log in name is dumb, don't be an ass just to be an ass, ya little internet troll. Francis is an awesome name for a betta.

  • if you tap the tank it can shock the fish and it can die for a SIAMESE FIGHTING FISH you need at least a 10 gallon fish tank, filter, water conditioner, heater and good quality food man

  • ITS NOT A JAPANESE FIGHTING FISH!! ITS A SIAMESE FIGHTING FISH.

  • @kedatr lol i know i was just joking lol

  • that betta needs a bigger tank. plus they need filters and heaters. water temp needs to be around 77 to 82f.
