This movie's so messed up. Hera was queen of the Deudekatheon and the goddess of marriage and the sky, but here they've combined her with Gaia, Demeter, Persephone, Eilytheia, etc.

The DVD version of this is awful. They actually cut out scenes from it. Important scenes. So you end up missing important chunks of the story. It is ridiculous.

This and the History Channel's Clash of the Gods take on the myth of Heracles(original Greek name) aka Hercules (Roman adapted name) are both REALLY GOOD! ^_^ But yeah you already knew the name part of the myth I take it? romans and greeks have different names for the gos and heros alike....like Poseidon, God of the Sea, is Neptune for Romans, and Ares, God of War, is Mars for the Romans. Eh...if the the toss up was just Zeus and Hera, I dunno. Zeus is a little too close to the patriarchal of God/Yaweh/Adonai/Jehovah/Elohi­m of my christian beliefs. And Hera...well.....I don't like the idea of girls and women performing rituals that involve sacrificing members of my own sex there(I'm a male as well). I'd probably worship a nature diety like Artemis, Demeter, Apollo, Dionysous/Bacchus, or Pan.
