Now, realistically, Islam was in fact about love, justice and tolerance, until it was corrupted into what we in the west know today. It's actually a pity. I, for one, as an Israeli citizen, would enjoy peace with the Muslim world, and I suspect that the vast majority of Muslims would like the same. Curses, spitting, provocation and threats from muslims are not uncommon in town here, worst incident was being attacked by a gang of 6 muslims teenagers walking the street. The minute they noticed I was a Jew they started tailing me, caught up to me and beat me up. The hate in their eyes was unbelievable, they were like a pack of hungry dogs. I do know a few good muslims but generally I stay away. Too much bad experience.

The basic problem with the Arab-Israeli conflict seems to be that neither Jews nor Muslims can admit that the 'other side' are also victims. Yeah, you've probably been victimised. A lot of Jews have been victimised by Muslims in the last 80 years in Israel/Palestine. But a lot of Muslims have been hurt too. What I find strange is how so many people take sides. You have to be either pro Israeli or pro Palestinian- you can never be both at the same time.

It’s the same thing with Israel. But I personally would be okay with all European Americans moving “back” to Europe and then all the immigrants we have could move back home to their native land. Nothing I know of in the Bible says either way. The entire argument is rather new to me. But I do know this: whatever the solution to the problem is, it is not the one the Palestinians are taking right now. Violence is what breeds anger, as 9/11 did for Americans towards Muslims. It creates more violence, more death, and more hatred.

Although science makes a lot of the details in the stories as well as the various contradictions (thou shalt not kill, you are to kill people who worship other gods and burn that city) make it possible that it was all man written. my theory is that god is merely trolling us all for the lulz. I mean look at Ted Haggard, Fred Phelps and Farfour the Mouse. All tools for an epic trolling.

@AvengingDudikoff While what you say is true (well, at least that first part.) science can make a huge impact on the credibility of religious books. for instance the Bible claimed that the earth hung on nothingness and is round, that the stars are uncountable in number, and that man is made of dust (or many of the chemical ingredients of dust), while the Quran states that the sun sinks into a pool of mud everynight, and that you can get to said pool of mud, and that the earth is flat!

Now, realistically, Islam was in fact about love, justice and tolerance, until it was corrupted into what we in the west know today. It's actually a pity. I, for one, as an Israeli citizen, would enjoy peace with the Muslim world, and I suspect that the vast majority of Muslims would like the same. It's the vocal and militant minority that keeps things sour. It's a shame, considering how much Israelis and Arabs have in common, to be at each other's throats all the time. :(

@BJSteigner I'm not the biggest fan of modern Islam, and, as an Israeli, am very inclined to hate it in its entirety when angry, but the reality is that the extremists are not representative of all Islam. They are just a vocal and VERY noticeable minority. Islam itself is essentially no different from Christianity. It's just been twisted (like Christianity i many instances), to serve the whims/agendas of some of its more fanatical leaders.
