I don't believe you have .50 strings... I have the same bass,I had once .45 and it was really terrible,3 weeks I tried to adjust neck and it was really impossible. I had really high action and when I lowered strings,it rattled a lot. So I have .40 strings and I'll never buy harder on this bass.
Dude I saved this and next Christmas I'm going to play it through the PA system on the engine when we are returning from fire calls. It's okay, really, everyone thinks I'm nuts and have been exposed to too much smoke and burning chemicals.
hey jason, i dont really understand whats going on from 3:01 to 3:04. it sounds like you're playing the same note, but you're fretting hand is moving about. could you tell me whats it about and why you would play the same note on different strings? thanx:) p.s sweet job!
It's just kind of a showy nonsensical thing that I guess came to me at the time. It looks a little more complicated to shift up to the next string, even though there's really no musical benefit to it (some tonal distinction, but negligible).
I don't remember. I buy really cheap strings because I change them so often (every two weeks or so). They were probably "Musician's Choice" strings from Guitar Center. $5 per set FTW.
hey bro..just wondering who's version is it?and where did u get da track? coz i'm thinking of playing this song for my performance exam..maybe u could help me out..Btw, awesome playing bro, i'm so impressed and inspired!
It's actually the older Spector NS5-CRFM, which were the European models before the EuroLXs came about. It's an all maple body instead of the three-piece bodies they're doing now.
It's just a natural finish, but the newer natural finishes have a much greater shine than mine.
I think I've touched on this in another of my videos, but I use ultra-cheap strings. I change them about every 2 weeks or so, so I can't justify spending more than about $5 set. And I buy them from eBay!
I use medium gauge, 45-65-85-105-125, sometimes I use a 130 low B, if I'm feeling crazy.
Really, wow, still getting a pretty good tone and all. But this is probably because of the Spector, which I am somewhat jealous of. One day. Very nice playing.
please tell me!!! what's your tuning to get this crunchy sound!?!?!

@GHOF62 Thanks!
I started when I was 11 I think. 1996 or so. Lucky for me my brother was a shredhead and introduced me to real musicians early on!

Awesome! Really adds a ton of fun to an already awesome song. You should put together a Stu Hamm tribute band, with all his covers!

Spector Euro w/ DC-40s.

Did you ever get it down for the show?
jmatthews13 3 years ago
I was about half-way through it when they told me that the show was canceled. They couldn't get enough people to participate. No big deal
Still, it's a fun solo to play around with.

Is that a Spector Euro LX 5? If so, I'm interested in the 6 string ver.
And what is the official name of that colour combo? i wouldn't mind it.
