@Witchire There is something to be considered about the method of worship, this one appeals to younger generation; great music, atmosphere and songs. Naturally there are cases where people can get caught up in the emotion of it all; but that doesn't deter the fact that there is meaning behind the lyrics. Sure the slower songs have a bit more in them, but thats the difference between a worship and a praise song.

@iasthai88 I am aware of the difference between praise and worship songs (having been an ex christian of 15 years) It is my conception that the faster songs create this mood of forced worship, as in you kinda feel bad for not clapping or dancing. @Witchire You say this as if there are people coerced into going to these concerts, dragged unwillingly into the ampitheater and then glared at if they don't dance along. I can't speak for everyone, but all those I've met who attend these concerts know exactly what they're going to and the enviornment in which the concert will be conducted. You go for this sense of fellowship and joy so the idea that anyone there is enduring "forced worship" is laughable.

Sure the slower songs have a bit more in them, but thats the difference between a worship and a praise song.

@iasthai88 I am aware of the difference between praise and worship songs (having been an ex christian of 15 years) It is my conception that the faster songs create this mood of forced worship, as in you kinda feel bad for not clapping or dancing. If Jesus did exist, this would not be what he had in mind.

@Witchire You say this as if there are people coerced into going to these concerts, dragged unwillingly into the ampitheater and then glared at if they don't dance along. I can't speak for everyone, but all those I've met who attend these concerts know exactly what they're going to and the enviornment in which the concert will be conducted. You go for this sense of fellowship and joy so the idea that anyone there is enduring "forced worship" is laughable.

I wouldn't care if i wasn't jumping! if an atheist walked into that room and saw that, do you think they'd give a damb about jumping and clapping. That typa music was created so people didn't think that christianity was all 'amen, amen amen' music, lyk it was a few centuries ago. this typa music was created so people actually listen and understand the words. It's not forced in any way.

@Witchire Actually it doesn't make you feel bad. I've been to these and just stand there and sing along. YOu don't have to do these things.. People jump up and down and clap cause they love the Lord and love to show it.

@Witchire I never bought a single DVD or book from them, I like their message and the way they worship, and they´re not forcing you to buy anything or go to their show. I only paid 15 dollars to go in Toronto, go check out how much it is to watch a famous band nowadays... at least 10x more, here in Brazil i paid 15x more to see U2
