Tomorrwo it will have been 8 years since i first heard this song. I was 6, in 2003, and was coming back home after having my tonsils removed. I wanted to whistle to this song...Sadly coz of my tonsils I couldn't speak oir make noises with my mouth. So I was silent. All I remember thinking is "That guy's got the highest voice that I've heard on a dude". Matt Bellamy beat him a week later. Now I'm both a Muse and Gorillaz fan =)

I had recorded the whole thing, and remember sneaking out 2 in the morning to hear and watch this song over and over.

Now it's one of my favorite Gorillaz songs, even one of my favorites in general, regardless of genre. I love the drum beat, the lyrics and casual vocals, that leading riff (seems like a harmonica), and especially that bass line! Turn it up! X-)

@lukiclovur They are very good and very unique. The first song I remember is "Clint Eastwood" where he's like "Hey happy, I'm feelin' glad. I got sunshine, in a bag." I liked that song and the others that had videos soon after that. I completely understand, though. They give me that feeling, too. I can understand their music. So similar to you, I saw them on television and re-discovered them years later. I already listened to rappers they play with, too, such as Del and MF Doom.
