I have the same model dlow meter and mine used to click like that really loudly. then is jammed completely so I had to drain the loop and fix it. turs out there was a piece of crap stuck in it, and the magnet that flicks the RPM counter seemed to be corroding.
you should get a swiftech rad thermalshit radiators have air restrictions also u should mount the radiator on the top if you can because heat rises or exause as must heat outside the case as possible
It also needs to be at the lowest point in the case (make sure its a good one with high flow to counteract gravity), also you might want better fans, Thermaltake fans arnt renouned for their quality fans...
Having seen this case, some of the layout is wrong. I understand that the radiator is on the bottom and theres nothing you can do about that, but make sure the air from it is EXHAUSTED from the case.
As for the resivour you want it at the highest point in the case and a bleeding valve at the lowest, the resivour will always keep the system full and purge out air bubbles due to the effect of gravity, I wasnt sure if the cpu was the green blinky thing in mid-air but....
that liquid cooling is useless unless your going to overclock because the fans on the rad is going to be same volume as normal case cooling, so if i was you, get better cpu and overclock
ima building a rig similar with the same fan and temp controller, and I REALLY WANT that motherboard. I have already got a crappy gigabyte board which is shit. it has only 1 PCI-E slot and it looks like its made of leggo. Got a G15 and G5, 22inch monitor
true. i'm not fat and I struggle for funds in my rig. I have a combination of debt to parents, trying desperately to work and get money and un-tech friendly parents who hate going to the computer store to replace my dodgy 4870 graphics card.
oh, and how often do you flush your system and add new/top up the coolant? I've got the thermaltake bigwater 760is and it's been running steady for a month and a half...but I dunno the proper procedure to clean it and when you should...
Eh, Thermaltake isn't TOO bad. I have a Big Water 760i cooling only my CPU which is an Intel Q9550 Overclocked to 3.6 GHz (Stock at 2.83) and it keeps my CPU idle between 35C and 41C and never goes above 47C on load.
I've got the same case, but I hated the red mesh panels. I painted mine gloss black.
Check out my system under my profile. It's pretty respectable. I just wish I'd gone farther on my watercooling system like you did. Did you just wc the cpu and vga?
why not instead of running the gpu block right to the cpu block, running it from the gpu to the back radiator then to the cpu block..since you have the pump going right to your main radiator
allowing the coolant to have more heat ransfer capacity
hey man i need some help here..I have a 8800gt 256mb version. i can play games nicely at 1280x1024. but im afraid that future games kill the card because of the 256 mb. what do tyou think? there is a 9600GSO 768 MB DDR3 really cheap. do you think the GSO will be better than my 256 gt ? awser i relly need help please.
2 things I have OCed my VGA and i would OC my CPU but the is giving my wired temps so i dont feel comfortable processor OCing it yet. second I think it looks badass. by the way I got a new CPU Q9300 Quad
i would have stayed clear of a 45nm quad, the q6600 quad is still the budget quad to have due to have a x9 multi rather than the x8 multi. to liberate a x8 multi fully you need to have a chipset that can supply heaps of FSB, but that doesnt happen into a quad, the 500fsb barrier into a quad is only just being breached with the p45 chipset. still nice cooling :) you would notice a massive difference using different rads, those thermaltake ones arn;t very good.
zmfc2 is the name of that fan controller its about 35 bucks totally worth it. controlls four fans and temps and wattage consumed. And if you have a door on your case it will fit when you close it
Isnt it Xaser VI (6) not 4 which is IV. But nice setup. Have u tried putting the radiator on the outside? if so whats the difference to inside setup? I got the same case today but im stuck on what to get for LCS and all.
lets not bring America in to this If i'm wrong that has nothing to do with america. like you I have tried both and I found that my way work better so lets just move on.
Dude, you dont run the tubes from the pump to the radiator! radiator is the last step of cooling! This is how it should be.. reservoir to pump then to cpu block then vga block theeen radiator and then back to reservoir.. It looses liquid flow when you put the radiator after the pump.
you are wrong volchara, very wrong. and to be honest, the difference is very minimal. the ratio of rads to blocks determines a uniform temperature for the system. due to it being a moving system, heat is dissapated from the blocks to the rads at a continuous rate. but placing a rad before a block means it recieves the liquid at its coolest temp. there are alot worse flow killers in that loop than the rads (sorry.). Also - thermaltake rads arn't capillery rads, they just a coppper snake.
so noisy!

why would you put all that effort into liquid cooling your system when you aren't even going to overclock it?
stock air cooling is fine for a non-overclocked
system.
