Well, your video was amusing. I live in Upstate New York (Fredonia,NY) and about a month from today i'm moving there to live with my brother. He fights MMA and i really got nothing better to do. As depressing as you made it seem, looks beautiful to me, and i'm looking forward to it alot. You gotta be somewhere long enough before you get sick of it, and that can happen anywhere you go. I've lived in California, NYC, North Carolina, and go to Denver CO often enough for various reasons.

main reason why they hired me is that i went to SPASH. You see the new Noel building in the Portage county Business park. If i went to another school district that building would not be there. Over 75% of students that go to high school alumni get an average of 50,00 a year or higher. 80% get $35,000 to $50,000 a year, and only .07% drop out. That is one student every seven years.
@kittycatlovermewmew There are a few good stores downtown (Radio Kaos, Galaxy Comics, the aforementioned Art Village) but they are diamonds in the rough of bars and tattoo parlors. Yes, there is a mall, but there are no stores in the mall and it is being shut down because it owes over $2 million in back taxes among other debt.
art village is closing down ;( Its stevens point is now losing some of the most not boring things! Art village got alot of atraction. I heard it from one of my friends who went there a few days ago. this saterday is there last painting day!

Elderados is hot lol, and there is vending machines in the mall (: its a very good city to live in, not many crimes.. in the winter all you need yourselfe is a snowmobile. and summer a 4-wheeler, then figure stuff out lol.. its a great city

I loved Stevens Point up until about two years ago, when the downtown area suddenly decided to go to hell, and they passed that stupid smoking ban. There was actually a pretty active indie music scene going on for a while that you didn't get in too many other small Midwestern towns.
i love stevens point ive lived here for about 3 years, and yes there are many fast food places. my parents love to go to eldorados lol that is where they get all of their dirty movies. those hills are iverson park, and they move the rocks away in the winter so you wont hit em when you sled, snowboard, etc. lol i bet nobody gives a shit about what i just said, oh well.
Yeah, funny thing is.. the new Chancellor at UWSP wanted to put in Hills at UWSP around campus because at her last university they had 'hills' and it was 'pretty'..or so I've heard........ how do you put hills on a campus? I lived in Knutzen hall and the amount of hippies there was crazy. Everyone wears tie die, listens to the grateful dead, they have drum circles when the weather is nice, some walk around barefoot, and a lot of people smoked weed. And I mean a lot of weed.
But what can you do, getting drunk and smoking weed is pretty much all ya can do in Stevens Point!
I've lived here all of my life. Yeah larger cities are nice, but who wants to be rushing all the time in traffic?Plover and Point are redoing a bunch of things.Plover has Crossroads shopping with more to come.They are knocking down the mall to build other stuff that's why there aren't a lot of stores in it.They all moved to different locations. You don't have to just drink.Go bowling, play pool, go swimming, see a movie,riverfront rendevous, carnivals, take a walk,go boating, have a dang picnic.
The funny thing was, that most of the fights with the hmongs usually ended up with some of my redneck buddies getting hurt. This one time we were drinkin and the Hmongs came after us with nunchucks after we beat up some of their dads at Skips. We all ran and I almost hit one with my pickup truck. Yeehaw :)

Lived there many years and graduated from there too. Every weekend, the only thing on people's minds were to get drunk and beat up the Hmongs at skip's bowling. There was a KKK rally through division street in the late 80's too; everyone stoped at belts to eat ice cream and watch the KKK do their thing.
I went to the mall for the first time in years and just laughed at how little was left and the no loitering sign in the food court. Who is there to bother?
You know what's strange? I was downtown at the mall a couple of days before Christmas and there were actually some people in the mall. I just found that really strange as there normally is only at least a couple or less people in the mall, normally.

I've worked at a grocery store in point...and I am pretty sure I have seen a total of about 10 total in the town, if you don't count college students, otherwise maybe 20? It's so sad...I'm going to school in a Minnesota (in a town of under 5,000) and there are more people of color there...

Elderados is hot lol, and there is vending machines in the mall (: its a very good city to live in, not many crimes.. in the winter all you need yourselfe is a snowmobile. and summer a 4-wheeler, then figure stuff out lol.. its a great city

I've lived in Stevens Point for eleven years. I love the city and most of the people in it.
I agree the mall is a bit... Gay? But now we got the new Wal-Mart Supercenter.
I love Iverson Park, and yes, the hills are a bit small.
You can also ski there, too.

I loved Stevens Point up until about two years ago, when the downtown area suddenly decided to go to hell, and they passed that stupid smoking ban. There was actually a pretty active indie music scene going on for a while that you didn't get in too many other small Midwestern towns.

i love stevens point ive lived here for about 3 years, and yes there are many fast food places. my parents love to go to eldorados lol that is where they get all of their dirty movies. those hills are iverson park, and they move the rocks away in the winter so you wont hit em when you sled, snowboard, etc. lol i bet nobody gives a shit about what i just said, oh well.

Yeah, funny thing is.. the new Chancellor at UWSP wanted to put in Hills at UWSP around campus because at her last university they had 'hills' and it was 'pretty'..or so I've heard........ how do you put hills on a campus? They told her that it would cost millions of dollars and if she wanted it, it was coming out of her pocket! She didn't want them after that.. go figure.. Go UWSP for hiring a crazy woman as chancellor!

The amount of Hippies at the University is crazy.
I lived in Knutzen hall and the amount of hippies there was crazy. Everyone wears tie die, listens to the grateful dead, they have drum circles when the weather is nice, some walk around barefoot, and a lot of people smoked weed. And I mean a lot of weed.
But what can you do, getting drunk and smoking weed is pretty much all ya can do in Stevens Point!

I've lived here all of my life. Yeah larger cities are nice, but who wants to be rushing all the time in traffic?Plover and Point are redoing a bunch of things.Plover has Crossroads shopping with more to come.They are knocking down the mall to build other stuff that's why there aren't a lot of stores in it.They all moved to different locations. You don't have to just drink.Go bowling, play pool, go swimming, see a movie,riverfront rendevous, carnivals, take a walk,go boating, have a dang picnic.

The funny thing was, that most of the fights with the hmongs usually ended up with some of my redneck buddies getting hurt. This one time we were drinkin and the Hmongs came after us with nunchucks after we beat up some of their dads at Skips. We all ran and I almost hit one with my pickup truck. Yeehaw :)

Lived there many years and graduated from there too. Every weekend, the only thing on people's minds were to get drunk and beat up the Hmongs at skip's bowling. There was a KKK rally through division street in the late 80's too; everyone stoped at belts to eat ice cream and watch the KKK do their thing.

You know what's strange? I was downtown at the mall a couple of days before Christmas and there were actually some people in the mall. I just found that really strange as there normally is only at least a couple or less people in the mall, normally.

WE lived here longer than four college years..so until you've lived in Stevens Point, WI for at least 20 years and haven't succumbed to denial(or suicide), I don't want to hear the words "really cool" and "Stevens Point" together in the same sentence! I've worked at a grocery store in point...and I am pretty sure I have seen a total of about 10 total in the town, if you don't count college students, otherwise maybe 20? It's so sad...I'm going to school in a Minnesota (in a town of under 5,000) and there are more people of color there...

It's sarcasm. Get a sense of humor. Obviously Point is NOT that bad of a town, hence having to dig into the rather skimpy social happenings to make fun of it. The video is more about boredom as related to this town than ANYTHING else. Again, humor is that thing that makes you laugh, which is what this is was meant for.
