My advice to all OWS people. Be completely peaceful don't engage the police in any way. Go limp, completely relax become dead wieght, it is very hard to move someone if they just relax and give no help at all. I disagree with most of the OWS complaints but, I was the honor graduate in my police academy class and most of what these cops are doing is just wrong.

So let's sum up the picture here. The Police is empowered with the authority of the law. However, despite what the uniform should represent, to many times they act in an inappropriate manner. The protesters try to remain nonviolent as they are not a bunch of homicidal maniacs or some criminals from jail or something but just regular folks demonstrating their political voice. So what the police does is form riot squats which descend on those nonviolent protestors and beat them with batons & such.

@flyingshitter That sounds pretty much 100% accurate. The only way I see to overcome these tactics is to have more peaceful protesters on the streets than there are cops to brutalize them. When we've seen the cops be overwhelmingly outnumbered, all of a sudden they aren't so brave with their batons and riot gear.
