1) use the alt. fire on your speeder... It was only available, when you were near the AT-AT's legs. You had to do 3 loops around the AT-AT's legs to disable it.

2) Shoot the AT-AT in the head some 100+/- times (which took more time)

@SQRL13 Sadly, while I agree 100% on that, Factor 5 closed down, so we won't be seeing another Rogue Squadron sequel any time soon (or the other games for that matter). Plus, George Lucas apparently wants most of the Star Wars games to focus on the prequels rather than the original trilogy or anything after the original trilogy (so fans of Star Wars: Dark Forces/Jedi Knight are screwed over in that regard too).

This is by far my favorite version of the Rogue Squadron theme.

The versions in RS2 and RS3 had great instrumentation, but they were changed to triumphant themes in major tonality. This one remains in minor tone and is so ominous... it gets you geared up for a battle where the odds are against you. It's fantastic.

The developers at Factor5 made the N64 sound amazing. Those guys made their own sound drivers which ran off the N64 carts themselves. Awesome stuff.

@megamist88 I have it for PC. But, there was some kind of bug or maybe a broken joystick or something, and the game always wasted all my missiles the instant the game started, and I could barely control the menu. I still have fond memories from before that, though.

Ya, Trench Run in RS 1 wasn't to be based on the Original Trilogy's trench, cause of some policy of Lucasarts in that time that games could not directly portray anything from the movies, like the Trench run couldnt simply be straight, it had to be like, curvy and crap.

Luckly in RS2, they got over that bullshit policy, and gave us a proper Death Star run...TWICE.
