wow....unbelievable. i normally cant stand anime, but this was one of the most provocative, heart-wrenching movies i have ever watched. and not just counting animated films.
There's another anime thats also based on a true story at the bombings. It took 6-9 years to make and it was released in the 80's. Its called "Graves of the Fireflies". Its based on the a true story, the guy who made it's life. It was his expirence in the bombings. Its just as good.

I forgot I had to watch this movie for a class i have tommorrow. Now its 12:45 at night and i'm laying wide awake and i'm not sure if I'll ever be able to sleep again. It feels like my heart was just ripped out then suddenly put back in just so it could be ripped back out again.

I forgot I had to watch this movie for a class i have tommorrow. Now its 12:45 at night and i'm laying wide awake and i'm not sure if I'll ever be able to sleep again. It feels like my heart was just ripped out then suddenly put back in just so it could be ripped back out again.

To give clear info:
1. The emperor was a figurehead and tojo his prime minister controlled the government with militaristic tactics
2. If fat man (the bomb dropped on nagasaki) had been postponed a few days, japan would have had time to surrender because on the day fat man was dropped tojo was in the middle of aranging his terms of surrender.

what really pisses me off is even though 2 nuclear bombs that where launched against japan which are still causing health issues, the country still adores America, adopting everything the release. If I was Japan I would at least boycott everything thats from America and always refuse to help them for at least 100 years
