People who attack this show need to realize that Batman doesn't have to be as dark as Batman: TAS is. Batman can easily work as a fun/campy series, or a dark thriller. It's FILLED with fanservice and is VERY accurate to the original comics.
Brave and the Bold had some dark episodes. It didn't just ABANDON what makes Batman so popular today. Watch "Invasion of the Secret Santas" and tell me that's not the darkest version of the Wayne family deaths ever. Or hell, watch "Chill of the Night".
everything about this show paid homage to the 60's batan show. the batsuit looks similar to the adam west suit. the theme song is heavy in the horns and you can almost hear "BAT-MAN" during the horn hits. in all, this show is very bright, very fun, but still very batman.

This show is quite good actually. It's not supposed to be dark and gloomy like most Batman shows; it's one big kick-back to the 50s - 70s superhero series'.

Also, childish =/= light-hearted. If you'd actually WATCH this series, you'd see it has a lot of dark moments, dozens of people dying on-screen, and the most powerful Wayne family deaths you'll ever see.

Hey people, stop hating on this show. I think its pretty decent. It may not as dark as batman beyond or the animated series, but every batman doesn't have to be. its more like a throwback to the 60s batman shows with a retro twist.

A lot of people compare this with the 90's series and I think it's unfair to both shows because BTAS was well it had the best batman and Luke Skywalker as the Joker, and Brave and the Bold has great humor, it introduces viewers to guys like Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Jonah Hex, Plastic Man, and others, and the story does have some dark themes like one where it shows Katana's master get killed, well the shadow of him getting killed but it's still pretty intence at times

Also comparing this show to another batman show is comparing apples with banana's. It doesn't work.
You can take a different approach on the batman series and this is what a new team of animators made. And I actually like the approach.
Not everything has to be all dark and gritty just because TAS had that.
New approach is always good instead of rehasing the old.
