@adios100 Oh I know that the movies are not just about the fights all I'm saying is that I find the 1st film boring. Im not trying to seem like a jerk about it that just my opinion. I just find all the sequels more fun to watch
Personally I liked all the Rocky movies except the 1st. Am I the only one that finds the 1st rocky movie boring? Was the movie well made? Sure but it was boring. The 1st fight will Apollo absolutely sucked. They show the first 2 rounds then skip to round 7, show about 40 sec of what apparently occurs between rds 7 & 14 then show the final 2 rounds. Its stupid. At least in Rocky II they show the whole fight. Rocky III, & IV are just straight action with makes them entertaining. This was good too
@Dpal93 not sure if trolling.. well i see your point about why the fight is boring.. but the rest, man, rocky was the only part that was supposed to be actually a movie with a real plot and some drama behind it! All the other parts are straight forward set action movies.
@Dpal93 the films are not just about the fight scene at the end its the whole story of this down and out underdog who gets a shot to change his life. the first one is by far the best. 1 and 2r amazin after that the story changed and the character changed and it sort of went downhil from there.
@Dpal93 My only complaint about Rocky 1 is the fight.. it skips WAY to much as you say, I know they fixed that a lot in the second movie but no the first Rocky is a good film, though my favorites are the 2nd and 3rd.
@AICabal Remember, no one was expecting that film to spawn five sequels...and it wasn't about the fight itself. It was about a man who just happened to fight. So it was deemphasized. As the series progressed, the boxing became more and more integral to the story.
Funny that people seem to be loving Rocky4. That's not only the very worst of the first 4, it's one of the worst movies ever made. Sure, when I was 13 and I went and saw it with my not so bright paranoid communist hating 1950's product of a father, we had a good time. All of them are bad boxing movies, but IV has the worst acting and lamest story. Burgess Meredith,Carl Weathers and Mr. T are what makes the 1st 3 great, and 1 is the only real film of any of them.

i honestly think the order the movies are in actually is their rating from best to worst. to be honest, i wish they had never made 5 and especially 6 because it was so late and the fact that he gets back in the ring is just dumb..
I thought Tarver did a GREAT JOB as Dixon...he's not a 'villain'...he's just a disrespected champion. Not a bad guy. I think he played it well.

I never liked the fight. The previous Rocky's being over done made them so epic. This one just looked like an amateur version.
