The man is speaking of his own death and all the processes of dying and getting his soul out then getting washed and buried and prayed upon and being deserted by his family as they walk away then getting questioned by Munkar and Nakeer. It's very powerful and emotional and it fits the story of dunya well in a sense, but it is not the meaning of that story at all :) May Allah have Mercy on us all in this world and the Hereafter. I really enjoyed the video. I love the way this uses the metaphor of chasing a woman called Dunya to show us chasing the dunya, and being distracted by it. And in the end, the fact that she was much less attractive than she had appeared in the beginning, it mirrors the dunya being ugly compared to the Akhira, and how we may be so into the dunya that we will not realise that it's not all it appears to be, because what Allah will give us is a lot better than anything in this dunya.

This moved me very much because I had a muslim girlfriend for 5yrs and towards the end of our relationship Allah barik ta'ala gave me hidiyat subhanallah. now as a 6yr old muslim sunni I would prefer death to having a girlfriend. even the christians and the jews practiced it and still do in some parts of the world.
the countries you refered to do not abide by sharia law,some of them like saudi arabia use some parts of sharia and discard the rest.

@ProfetTommy - Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) is the mother of all believers, and the teacher and transmitter of many of Mohammad's(peace and blessings be upon him) traditions. Never did anyone in history said anything wrong with her marriage to the Prophet(pbuh) except the west in recent years. The arabs do not celebrate their birthdays and the maturity of a lady is based on the starting of their menses.She was,as all children of the desert matures early, a fully matured girl.

From a young girl, she observed each and every behavior and practices of the Proohet (pbuh). The jews, the byzantine and all his enemies at that time never ever used this to slander the messenger as it is the custom.They don't count birthdays as we do now.No such thing as underage this and that.She became matured and they married,and became the best couple.

I really enjoyed the video. I love the way this uses the metaphor of chasing a woman called Dunya to show us chasing the dunya, and being distracted by it. And in the end, the fact that she was much less attractive than she had appeared in the beginning, it mirrors the dunya being ugly compared to the Akhira, and how we may be so into the dunya that we will not realise that it's not all it appears to be, because what Allah will give us is a lot better than anything in this dunya.

Salam alaikum akhi. This moved me very much because I had a muslim girlfriend for 5yrs and towards the end of our relationship Allah barik ta'ala gave me hidiyat subhanallah. now as a 6yr old muslim sunni I would prefer death to having a girlfriend. I have had born muslim say rubbish 2 me that I dont know anything, when I politely brought them to oneside as prophet muhammad(saw) sunnah way of doing things. I said to them about their actions that is contrary to the sunnah

it has meaning...the girl was not 'real'...it is a metaphor. Dunya means this worldy life, and all its trappings, material things, etc. He missed his prayer chasing after this worldly life instead of doing what he was supposed to be doing, and finally he ended up in his grave in that state. oh...you're kidding. welp, that shut me up, lol lol peace :)

In this case, the man let his desire for this "woman"(or the world) which is harmful sidetrack him from making his prayers to Allah which is ALWAYS more important than the pursuits of this world. Now he's in his grave where he stands no chance of performing any more prayers, nor able to make up the ones he missed! And he'll be punished for this. Thus his pursuit of her
ultimately ruined him here/& in hereaf.

Salam, how can you not understand this story? simply the young man heading towards the market and heard muadhdin call for prayer and instead his eyes fall on a womens back n he followed this Lady who gave him slight nod..u see the moral of this story is. he was mislead in wrong doing and he got Punished and it was a Test for him and he fail..please correct me if i am wrong..but this is what i thought of the Story and i only Read it once with intrupution of my Family. Salaam.

@cherry1807 i think its a narration, i heard the exact same story in a jummah khutbah! it is so true we chase the worldy gains and by the time we catch it we're dead! (it also has a slight literal meaning, men chasing women, u see them and if they give a glance u sometimes automatically head that direction without realising! SubhanAllah may Allah protect us from this evil!)
