That was just beautiful. My mum used to play it just like that . She has demensia now and is 83, but it brought back very happy childhood memoreis. Thank you so much for sharing.
p.s. We are Australians, but I still love that song about your wonderful state, Ohio.
you are blessed to have had a grandma liker her...her playing reminds me of the ladies who played in the churches I attended as a child, I'm a 7th generation Ohioan which makes this clip even more special...I know it seems that the Lord takes our loved ones from us when we think we still need them, but I think He does so because it's His way of telling us it's "our turn" to step up to the plate and be light in a dark world..God bless you and thanks for posting this!
I really like the way you look at things. My grandma tried to get at least one of her grandchildren to play piano, but none stepped up. But she would be so pleased with her great-granddaughter.
I certainly was blessed with the time I had with her. And I'm doubly blessed for my cousin who had the sense to videotape my grandma. (camcorders were very new in the early 80's)

A Generation is around 40 years. So 7+40 is 280. Your family must have been some of the first to colonize Ohio.

Yep, she had talent, but I didn't recognize it until it was too late.
I didn't realize how wonderful it was to have her play for us every Sunday.
God bless the people who created the video camera!
