The braying, squeaking, clicking, and moaning that Stalkers utter in Dead Space 2 are based off the same code as the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park: to this extent it can be determined that certain sounds mean certain things. Two short barks indicate a signal to move up, clicks indicate Isaac is moving or has just moved, and a low moan to indicate injury.
