As a child in the 60's, De got me through many a boring time by just turning on Star Trek. I miss him so much, but now after finally seeing the new movie I think I just became a big-time Spock Prime fan. Never did get the Kirk hoopla, though.

Bones was the heart of the show, and here's the proof. Shatner and Nimoy needed De Kelley and because of that it made for wonderful viewing when they were all together. It's what was missing from the new Star Trek film. You need Bones to balance Kirk and Spock out.

It's not just you. I noticed that myself; De looks totally stunned that all these people are clapping and cheering for him. He never struck me as somebody who let fame go to his head, anyway - in every interview I've ever seen him in, De was always so courteous and humble. Such a wonderful man.
