@TODGBEAST there's no "best" kind of board. it's all personal preferences. For me, I like an 8.5 Antihero deck with 8.0 thunder trucks, bones red bearings and bones wheels. But another person can like a whole different set up. And no you don't ollie at the end, you just kinda pop the tail and jump forward a bit. And you don't even need to revert with a 50-50, unless you started with a switch ollie or a nollie and then you want to switch back then you need to revert.
