I believe you mean overclock the CPU, which is a complicated thing to do. There a dew guides on the internet that will help you.

But tell me first what type of CPU have.

ummmm im not sure if i wanna overclock it the thing is im learning2 build a pc and it didnt come yet so im trying 2 learn wat i can abt it so that i dont face trouble when instaling the Motherboard and cpu. CPU is Intel core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz - 1066MHz FSB.

Mainboard is EVGA nForce 780i. ireally apreciate the help man thx 4 replying

Oh ok, well I have a 780i board now, this is an older video. And I used to have a Q6700, I now have a Q9300.Installing the CPu is probably the hardest part of the hardware installation. Are you using the reference version for the 780i or an Asus model. Because if you have an Asus model, their boards have problems with the CPU sitting flat and you may have a problem their. (I did)

Just follow the instruction manual, and work slowly.

Take your time. Make sure you put the CPU in correctly, meaning since its a square, each side has to in its correct spot if that makes sense. They have a little gold triangle on one corner, and look in the pictures for your manual to make sure the golden corner is in the right corner of the socket. Dont touch the bottom of the CPU either! Also its really important that you do not bend and of the pins on your motherboard socket. Or else you will kill your motherboard.

Place it in slowly and straight down. If these tips do not make sense now, they will once you have your CPU and motherboard. Dont worry man, its not that bad!

that is just corsair dominator ram you can buy it from newegg, the cooler comes with the ram.

its not made my cooler master, its a frozencpu mod. but its really high quality. its $100 for just the window. $200 for the Cosmos and the window. U can buy just the kit, but i dont have the power tools or the will 2 install it!

Yeah, they are awesome. Ive had them a couple years and they r excellent if u have a decent soundcard. I here Logitech is coming out with a new 5.1 speaker system shortly on IGN.
