I have been dancing since I was three and now I'm twelve so I should be able to know SHE NEEDS TO POINT HER TOES!! She did great and even though it's not ballet she still needs to point her toes its a simple rule.
It was okay. You could use some work ( this is instructive criticism not meaning to be rude) ur flexible but ur leaps and turns weren't all that good. Umm also make your turn peeps less obvious and POINTE! You have great potential if you work a little harder.

Why can't choreographers for young children design routines more appropriate for their age? Why do they have to showcase them shaking their butts and doing other moves meant for an adult? Especially when these kids are so very talented and capable of performing technical moves?

But I think if she wants to keep dancing she should take more ballet, because there were some bent knees, turned in stuff, and flexed feet, ballet will help with that as she gets taller and older. @broadwaynballet Your'e right on every point which is why she now trains with Dancers Edge. She never had any formal ballet training until this last year (09/10) with Rebecca Meinert. She has improved on each of your points. Watch her in the "Let's Get Loud" KAR-Finals. You can clearly see improvement from last year. I am so excited for her this year because RM has worked with her a lot and we can now see how long&beautiful those legs really are with pointed toes. Thank you for your comments:-)
@2DncnDvas Yes I watched it, she has definetley improved!! Ballet really does fix everything! I know since I moved to a ballet studio from a competition, my dancing has improved 200 percent! I wish the best to Andrea! I look forward to seeing more from her! Her stage precense is amazing=)
i'm from a smaller studio and our 13 year olds can't do triple turns.
on the other hand, i do think that if she's at a studio that goes to big competitions like showbiz then she should know better. but she could just be nervous.
i think she looked beautiful and she's got a lot of potential.
the dance was great but shes not cut enough to wear that costume
