  • hey dave are these sennheisers better or the wesc bongos? please reply :)

  • Dave these sennheisers or the wesc bongos?? please reply :)

  • This, the AKG 518 or the Beats Solo HD?

  • are these headphones good with electro/house?

  • how would these compare to the SONY MDRXB500 as far as sound quality, and bass?

  • really cant choose between the 228's and the 238's! ill be using them in the library so want minimal leakage, but i dont want it to cost having the worser sound quality.

and I see the 228's are labelled as "explosive bass" so does this mean worse trebel and mids?

  • @ tmtm325 you are a retard beats are so bass heavy and they are only meant for his music he says on his website it says: listen to the music how dre wants you too. so it's only for electronic and dj shit. They are over priced and monster has never made headphones but sennheiser has made them for decades so overall. All headphones - beats :)

  • @KnightRyder43 There are so much more better headphones out there that are bass heavy you retard! Like for example Sony XB series and Vmoda crossfades. The bass on the beats are loose and flabby and slows down the track when it should be tight and accurate. Plus if Dre wanted us to hear what he here in his studio then why are his headphones bass boosted? The only reason you should be buying beats is for the looks.

  • You shouldn't be reviewing headphones if you would recommend beats by dre to anyone.

  • im wearing one right now..LOL

  • um dave, do they have more bass then audio technica headphones?

  • @EpicShotz75 No less.

  • @davomrmac is the bass better than the hd202's ?

  • @EpicShotz75 slightly.

  • @davomrmac but you can tell a difference or not? which headphones would u recommend around $120?, with bass. thnx for the answers and help.

  • @EpicShotz75 For that price try and pick up Beats Solo HD's.

  • @davomrmac Aint Beats SOLO HD's $200 ?

  • @davomrmac stop recommending these things man, they are fucking expensive and all they do is muddy, undifined bass and nothing else. we all know it by now. how can you possibly recommend these?!

  • @EpicShotz75 For portability get the Beats Solo HD's, but purely for bass, get the Sony MDR XB500, they are between £30-£60 and have more bass than the Solo HD's, and around the same sound quality. They are also very comfortable, but they look like two monster truck wheels stuck to your head.

  • @EpicShotz75 Koss Porta Pro or AKG K 420, do NOT buy ANY beats by dre... believe me I know what I'm talking about. They are overpriced as fuck and sound terrible. I use everything from 40$ to 400$ headphones, in ear, on ear and over ear and I'm telling you you are wasting your money on these.

  • Any idea if these are better than the Major Black by Marshall? Specifically looking at blocking out outside sound and bass quality. Any help would be very much appreciated.

  • @OasisDublin Idk about marshall, but these have very good quality and they block outside sound very well when you're listening to music

  • Fugly

  • Has anyone else had the problem with the jack being too small and the sound not working for these headphones?

  • I got these for like 6 months or more and they are just great :) but I couldn't find any store/website where you can buy earpads.

  • i understood this ten times better in an english accent.

  • @McMatthew23 Thanks for watching.

  • But these headphones dont got the deep basses, right?

  • @multiblubberblasen pretty good at low frequencies, but not awesome.

  • Should I get these or the HD 238's?

  • Is the sound much better than the 218 or is that just a style change? Cheers!

  • Im lookin for a pair of on ear headphones that are stylish, well insulated/noise-canceling (goin on a 35 hour drive across country and my family doesnt like the music i listen to and doesnt want hear me), and has great sound. Do these fit my needs? If not could someone please recommend me to something? Thanks

  • @YYAddict Well it depends on your budget. The "Sennheiser HD 25 1-II" are excellent headphones, they however cost atleast 3 times as much as the hd 228. I do not own the hd 228 (...yet. I ordered a pair just yesterday), but most reviews say they're really good for the price. good bass tones and VERY comfortable.

So yeah, if you have a higher budget, deffinatly go for the HD 25 1-II, otherwise it seems like the hd 228 is good aswell.

  • can u adjust them?

  • @ThePopLyrics Yes.

  • someone call monsterquest, i think we found bigfoot

  • Hey my name is shadowsmountin and I like to make review’s, unboxing’s , and other stuff. I know my video’s aren’t the best out there but if you could just check my video’s or channel out I’d really appreciate it thanks.

  • This is a brilliant review, subscribed =]

  • @TSMDesigns Thanks.

  • Ok last part with one eye sticking out was freaky..... But good review overall !

  • the only downside is the lack of complete noise isolation and somehow i have to crank the volume higher than other earpieces/headphone i've used

  • How much in american $ ?! haha... They sound great.. I want them now =D where can i buy these????

  • @123abcfu2 I bought them for 50euro's in netherlands a few days ago. Buy I guess you can also buy them on ebay for only 30 dollars.

  • sennnhoisser

  • is the cable detouchable...?

and how do they perform vs the PX200-II and HD212Pro?

  • @Alljere Not detachable. I cannot compare to the others sorry. Anyone else?

  • good headphones, but have shitty cable, mine broke at the minijack plug :(

  • How's the ambient noise cancellation and sound leak?

  • it sure BEATS BEATS by dre

  • are they foldable?

  • @stebiu no.

  • Listening to this on my Sennheiser HD 288s!

  • @TrevLinden16 Cool!

  • nice review.. bought it today. Love it!

  • @Elektrooow thanks for watching and commenting.

  • What a great review mate, nice one i think its soon gonna be time to invest :)

  • @js1stuff Thanks for watching.

  • Please check out my review of these!

  • i like them more in white, but they'd look sick in matte black

  • your a hairy bastard

  • @EminemsMyHomie101 Hairy geezer yes, bastard I think not ;)

  • @EminemsMyHomie101 you're*

  • @ davomrmac hi, I was wandering whether you could tell me which headphones are better in terms of sound quality the Sennheiser HD 203 or the HD 228? I would also like to know whether they are tight on your head, since I bought these hd 203 headphones which sound better than the HD 202 I had before but these HD 203's are alot tighter..Thank you very much!

  • @PRAMBO811 never tried the others so cannot judge, sorry.

  • @davomrmac right, thanks anyways

  • @KashgroundTM they're around $75 on amazon. If you are new to headphones then you shouldn't look to pay any more than that on your first pair. You should maybe check out the HD238 and other Sennheiser headphones around that price range, because Sennheisers are gonna give you the most bang for your buck.

  • im new to headphones lol.what how much this cost, and if it is over 300 bucks,is there something else with ok bass at least?

  • umm, so how do you wear them? ik i sound like such a noob asking but i used to have over ears and i had the band not on the top of my head but more towards the front. i cant seem to keep these from sliding off every 5 min

  • i bought philips SHL960 recently, they broke within 30 days so i got my 33 quid back and so am gonna get these instead, cheers for the review

  • Hi, would you say these headphones would be suitable for listening to on the bus and school? Is the sound good enough, and also, which one of these or the AKG K430 would you recommend to buy?

  • @westfalkland I have never used the AKG K430 so cannot pass judgement on these. However, the sound quality on these is very good.

  • @westfalkland hey dude... well i would really recommend this instead of the k430...

cus ive listened to both of this cans and i gotta say the hd228 are the best out of these two....

    the reason is:

*hd228 has VERY punchy bass ;)

*closed design seems to block out external noise

    *Excellent bass :)

while the k430 is still good... i would still recommend these cans... :)

    *CHEERS* :D

  • Thanks my friend

  • i wouldn't recommend these. for the price the maximum volume is really disappointing :/

  • love this accent

  • This Headphone is not good, sucks more likely, i've used it n it's not loud, you need to increase the volume more for the sound to be satisfying n the BASS is horrible... the sponge layer will peel off after sometime. i don't recommend this model.

  • These headphones are really quite terrible. they're very cheaply made and sound like absolute trash. Distortion kicks in when anything is turned up. Spend a little more cash and get a pair of the 238s, they're great sounding and have a solid build. but they do leak sound alot

  • @Bakerboy590 Yes i agree!

  • should i get white or black

  • I have the 228's on now!

  • @djaxe32 yea the bass line is pretty weak . which is surprising because the box sais dynamic bass. but yeah the bass line is pretty weak but otherwise, theyre great

  • @musicismylife263 I have a headphone amplifier, and the bass is improved on the HD 428

  • heyy do you know any sennheiser hd headphones that have about 1 or 2m cables?? cos i think that 3m is just too long for outdoor use. thanks

  • @davomrmac - what headphone you're currently using?

  • @rockstah11 Some from Denon, testing now, all will be revealed.

  • @davomrmac whats the point and how long should i burn in speakers or w.e... also what should i play

  • @djaxe32 - bass isnt that good, but excellent in mids and acoustics.

  • you hairy beast...

  • @fishtank901 ;)

  • @davomrmac

    got the sennheiser 238s today

    QUALITY

only £40 and the best headphones ive ever owned

they leak quite a bit but they're still amazing

  • @fishtank901 what do u mean by leak? is it leather padded?

  • I have seen people saying that the bass on these is really weak, is that true? :o

  • @djaxe32 Seemed fine to me.

  • after a month of use of my headphone, when the earcup became more flat, real outstanding bass came out! Its just a matter of using it for a bit of time.

  • I listened to this review in my Sennheiser HD 228. (H)

  • i have a rather large head...do these feel like your straining them when you stretch them out to put them on your head?

  • @mobsterunion Not at all and they adjust a bit too.

  • Sound Greta but if you have a small head you might not get the full experience. Im trying molding them so they're narrower, tighter fitting. Its makes the difference from good to amazing! IMHO

  • Is it comfortable if i wear specs? Cos some other headphones made my ears ache. :)

  • @najinajina I wear glasses and these are fine.

  • @davomrmac Great ! thanks for replying (:

  • Thanks so much for the video, really cleared up the confusion.

btw, you sound like the Geico gecko, hope its a compliment

  • @WithShadesofWhite I know about the Geico :) I checked it out before and it freaked me out.

  • how are these with iPod

  • @rocketballa4life Pretty darn good.

  • what's the difference between the 228 hd and the 238 hd ??

  • @rockstah11 Great comment, thanks.

  • How do they stand up against solo hd ?

  • @chunky1x Not as good.

  • @davomrmac To what level does solo hd better than hd 228 ? I have tried studios but they are too much for little structural quality but they do sound like a thousand dollar headphones . Also are hd 228 comparable to bose on ear ? Thanks in advance for the reply .

  • @chunky1x The HD228 are tonally as good as the Bose on-ear. The SoloHD however has much more detailed vocal quality and a more focussed sound than the HD228.

  • @davomrmac thanks

  • @davomrmac To what level does solo hd better than hd 228 ? Also does bose on ear perform as good or better than hd 228 . Thanks in advance for the reply .

  • this or akg k450? they almost at same price tag $5 diff

  • AKG K414P has Bass. Like Night Club!!!

  • ahhhhhh im a noob. do these work for ipods? i know i sound like a pleb, but im a girl and i have no idea about what ones i should go for! aha. im sick of my crappy headphones and i wanna get some really good ones. not bashing dr dre but there so expensive and i hear they break soooooo easily, are these ones more durable? anyone who can help you will save me so much headache! :)

  • @wintersunset18 They do work with iPod and seem quite sturdy.

  • @wintersunset18

This will run circles around monster beats

  • I love these cans so much, they're indeed amazingly comfortable and SQ still continues to blow my mind. The bass is very responsive yet still very warm sound. It's so light too. The only problems i have are the fear of wear and tear on such a thin wire so i got the warranty just in case. Also, it takes a bit of adjusting to get optimum sound and some FiiO e5s to get a better volume.

    Astroid mod also helps! :)

  • this is the best review for this product I have been able to find on youtube. Btw, I am gonna get them tomorrow after two weeks of freaking waiting :D

  • @segnale007 Thanks for your comment. I hope enjoy watching and subscribe if you can.

  • @segnale007 so did you get it yet

  • I am looking for the best ultimate sound isolation headset.. plz tell me that .... plz... price is maybe 80 ~ 170 USD.. also I need good sound quailty..

  • hey check out my channel for the hd 218 review. its my first review vid so dont hate. thx

  • Hi could someone plz help me i want to buy some new headphones and im stuck between these 3:

    Sony MDR-V150 Headphones

    Sennheiser HD 218

    Sennheiser HD 228

I quite like the hd218 but wanted to know what the bass is like if any has them can you plz tell me? and is it worth the extra £12 to get the HD228s? do u get more bass with the 228s and how can the bass in all these compare to e.g. Bose quiet comfort 3s? Any help is much appreciated.

  • @bart569 I can only comment on the 218 and 228's. It is worth the extra £12, a more fuller sound to the 228's.

  • @davomrmac how much more bass can be heard frm the 228s? is it quite alot more than the 218s? and what is the bass like in the 218s can u compare it to anything with similar bass? Thanks

  • @bart569 Not really, that is so hard to put into words. Anyone else help out on this one.

  • @bart569 Sennheiser says that the hd 228 has slightly more bass and volume. Its just like paying a bit more for the bass but they're pretty much the same. Check out my review of the 218 :)

  • I found this headphones great, comfortable, nice light and compact, easy to carry, the only downside is its cable, since at least 2 months I'm having issues with it.. I wasn't very harsh on its use just normal use.. but now it got very annoying, switching mono/stereo and left/right. :(

Time to get new ones! have to do some research still..

  • @pablovazquezz Wow, that is not good. If only two months old can you get them exchanged?

  • @davomrmac oh I have them since a while already, 1 year I think.. but this cable thing started happening since 2 months ago, I wonder if its possible to replace the cable? or maybe better to get brand new ones? this time I'll check the cable quality more carefully! :D

  • @pablovazquezz That is bad news then, good luck in your search for a fix, or of course new cans :)

  • i want to choose between sennheiser hd 215, 428 and the 438

wich should i choose and why?

  • What about using them while wearing glasses?

  • @lwdehaas Should be fine.

  • @davomrmac i want to choose between sennheiser hd 215, 428 and the 438

wich should i choose and why?

  • How do these compare to the Bose on-ear ?

  • From what I've read on several reviews is that these headphones have very good sound for it's price, so I'm convinced there, but I have just a question regarding the cable: From what I can see in this video review, the cable looks very thin and prone to breaking.. What are your experiences with this, and IF the cable breaks, how is Sennheiser's warranty? Thanks in advance

  • @Rshock3000 I have used these for almost a year now. Yes, the cable is thin, but I have had no problems with it breaking.

  • as an audiophile, I find these to be decent headphones, but overpriced.

Check our the Grado SR60i headphones for great headphones for under $100.

  • @GrindOffYourFace Good tip, thanks.

  • Is the bass on the headphones good?

  • @sonyhomy01 I found the bass to be very good.

  • can you play hardcore techno on max volume with sennheiser HD 228 ?!

please reply. i am using ipod.

  • @johnson02ful Should be absolutely fine for that. Anyone else have anything to add?

  • i've got them too they are really good if i knew they are in white too i would have bought the white ones

  • How do these compare with the HD238s?

  • those r great head phones even 4 djing as the hd 25 and 25s

  • Love my HD650s.

  • Hey all, im a student doing media, and i listen to music, edit videos alot and stuff, are this good for this kind of stuff, for in class doing some serious work, but at the same time i want clear, comfortable headphones for a cheap price. write back soon! cheers guys.

  • so whats the difference between HD 218 and HD 228 ?

  • i have this one too

the bass is so nice and a clear sound

  • Would you recomment the HD202?

    Great review, thanks.

  • @DonkeyDelight Not used them, but they look pretty nice.

  • @DonkeyDelight no i have 202 and 201 and 201 is way better i use 201 for my piano and my gaming and stuff like tht

main reason is for me 201 is over my ears and 202 on and i like it over my ears

  • does it have its own volume control?

  • Great short review, just what I wanted to know, thanks.

  • wat music do u listen to?

  • Mainly Black Eyed Peas, The Ting Tings, Run DMC, quite a mix.

  • Great review thanks!

  • I dont like that they fit flat on the ear, but not completely over the ear.

  • You must stick to the standard english pronunciation when you say letters like 'H,' 'K,' etc.

Also, the word 'headphones' is a plural noun, so you should say 'headphones, themselves' rather than 'headphones, themselve.'

My point is: of course you know all this shit, then why doing things incorrectly when you can do them correctly?

  • @tacosychelas I think its called an accent. We all have them.

  • Yes these and the HD238(open back version) are fragile. Sound quality and comfort are very good for the money.

    Good review.

  • im looking for some good headphones for listening to rap any suggestions? around 100$

  • try Sony MDR-V150'S. pretty cheap but great quality

  • dr dre beats

  • these headphones are not as comfortable as they seem. The quality of the headphones are so cheaply made. I had bought these headphones cause they were on sale for 69 dollars, but later in the day i just returned it for the Shure SRH 440. The 440 sound so much more better than the sennhiser. this is not as good as it seems.

  • they are good but break so easilyyyyy

  • How do these compare to sennheiser PX 200s which are also a closed design, was thinking about getting some HD 228s only if there is an improvement over the PX 200s

  • about how much money would it cost in the us?

  • About 65 at Amazon

  • sennheiser are by far the greatest headphones ever!

  • @lodnaellid2 Not really, and by far...LOL Beyerdynamic T1 Tesla goes toe to toe with the HD800. But this you do not know, I know. I own all the top of the line, you dont. My opinion is based on fact, you on your imagination.

  • cool review

  • Thanks :-)

  • why do they have do have speakers on the outside too???!?! can i turn them off?? if i can't im taking them back

  • @spcskateboarder5,

I'm thinking you're talking about the sennheiser HD 238 Precisoin? ... or not? please .. let me know :P..

  • The best buy in the series is the Precision 238,open back. Well balanced and stunning bass performance.

  • i bought these today as it said on the box there for use with the iphone but they don't work very good because the jack doesn't fit in the phone properly!!!
