Personally I associate this song with coming out of depression, and being able to associate with positive, healthy, safe, and maybe even strong feelings again. Learning to take life as it comes.

But I think the heart at the start indicates a more love centered theme. Maybe he's unaware of her feelings, maybe she just loves his dreamery nature - she's conscious of something being absent - the camera facing her photographng him unaware. I'd say narrative device, but it's purposefully facing her.
