Unfortunately, I did not come across this beautiful album until after Rick's untimely death. I am very regretful that I was negligent to this man's full character and skill during his living years, and to be honest, I considered him to be minor in Pink Floyd's production during my early years as a fan. Now, I can say this without hesitation: Rick Wright is the best musician of all time.

If this performance proves anything, it proves that Wright was just as much a creative force in Pink Floyd as Gilmour and Waters, and was never truly able to express himself as much as he should. Yes, we did get some great songs out of him with "Us & Them", "Stay", "Summer '68", "Remember A Day", etc. But after Dark Side of the Moon, Wright really got the shaft in getting his songs played by the band. At least we got this and the On An Island tour out of Rick before he departed this universe.
