I am going to go ahead and do the new school 5 tank break in anyway. It can't hurt. But not doing it "could" hurt - since I doubt that there is a precision enough machining process to substitute break-in wear at the piston pinch...

The manual says the motor is precision machined so it's OK to rev up on a cold start! This car is awesome! Right out of the box, ours started and ran perfect. No adjustments needed. Well worth the $500. Especially when you consider you get the DX3s with it!
