If you can corterize whats left, to stem the the blood flow (if severe) which will sterilize the hole too, then do it. Although the hot end of a blunt might do the trick if thats all there is, the pain will be worse than the original 'operation'!

Speaking as Tri-plantar verruca veteran... of the Do-It-Yourself kind... Use some disinfectant of some kind, if you can. Smear the area and the implement in Dettox, Dettol, Surgical spirit, High strength spirit (6 to 1 patient/wart ratio ;)) ) even a dab of bleach (scarring risk) if you can. Do it before and after removal. I'm pleased that... as friends... you can be so intimate with each other like this. Ra

Definitely not for the squeamish...However, don't use a toenail clipper.

First, get an ice cube and rub it on the skin tag for a good couple minutes. This will numb the skin tag, then cut it off with cuticle sissors.

Afterwards, apply peroxide--it stops the bleeding. Then, put a bandage on it...I suggest not applying any deodorant for the remainder of the day if the skin tag is under the arm pit.

Tie it off with dental floss and wait a week. Works womders. There is a youtube videeo of a pro talking about using fishing line. I tried the dental floss.. works!

Skin tags bleed profusely when removed. Each one has a small artery that provides the blood supply. Use an intense backlight on an intact skin tag as a makeshift x-ray, and you can see the artery running through the length of the tag.
